I wonder if they meant a 260 GTX. Which, (I think) is more comparable to the 3870. That’s allot of rendering power! 😮

    4870 you mean 🙂

GTX 260 is slighty slower than HD4870
GTX 260 core 216 is slightly faster than HD4870
GTX 280 is faster than HD4870

I own HD4870, for graphics I think it is overkill for console ported game.
Any GPU from 2007 should do fine at reasonable resolutions…

Wow 14 GB are they crazy?

  • gtrNL

14Gb is quite a lot. But I don’t really care, still 400GB available on my D drive…

Sommergemüse: Wow 14 GB are they crazy?

Remember they have to cover two islands with that 🙂

No doubt the DX11 fans will be disappointed.

eeek my 9800gt isn’t going to like this game. I want to see some in game screenshots, the renders they’ve shown so far haven’t been that impressive.

  • stabiz

14GB is not shocking, I believe thats about as much as Empire: Total War needs. High res textures and lots of them.

Recommended pheripherals: 10 buttons pad ? :weird:

Shouldn’t they recommend a racing wheel for a racing game? 🙄

  • Novum

    Hmm interesting stats..

But im curius why the heck .net

i can smell microsoft efficency (read memory leak) miles away

    =/

(note im not a .net fan)

I know… Seriously, I’m not impressed at all.

Almost every bit of news about TDU2 lately is sending me the wrong signals – and it’s straight out of the developers mouth.

Shockingly just the opposite is happening in regards to developer commentary about F1 2010.

Time will tell (of course) which will be the better end product for my steering wheel, which is all I care about really since only rFactor is chained to it’s use.

Sommergemüse: Wow 14 GB are they crazy?

    GTA IV = 15.4 gb

I have a handful of games that range anywhere from 9 gb to 15gb. Thankfully hard drives are cheap and I have a Terabyte 🙂

  • WetWesley

    are those serious?

I mean, part one, an recommended pc like that with an Athlon and that graphics card sucks already as the gpu is faster then the gpu, not very well for your pc’s performance, thus weird recommendation
Also, the only difference between minimum and recommended specs is an graphics card, that is kinda weird either.
    I Am far from impressed

    WetWesley: are those serious?

Well, the first word in the article was ‘Atari’ that told me all I needed to know.
