Targa Florio Beta for Assetto Corsa Coming Up

SIM TRAXX is gearing up to releasing the first beta version of their Targa Florio for Assetto Corsa.

SIM TRAXX is gearing up to releasing the first beta version of their Targa Florio for Assetto Corsa.

The team is working on bringing one of the longest and most iconic tracks in racing history to the simulation, an endeavor that is pretty far along as you can see in the many previews below.

Located on the Italian Island of Sicily, the 72 kilometer track is one of the most epic motorsport race tracks ever used. As safety concerns became an influence in international motorsports, the Targa Florio sports car race lost its world championship status and is still run as an Italian rallye today.

Nice, I’m looking forward to this.

It’s not really “their” Targa Florio – it’s a conversion of the rFactor conversion of a scratch made GPL track by Ginetto, Sergio Loro and others.

I just find it really bad when convertors get all the credit rather than the people that did the real work, just because the game that content is being converted to is more modern and popular.

100% agree. Seems original creators get forgotten in the sands of time. Yes a ton of work has been done bring it to AC and credit is deserved there. But also the original creators more than deserve a shout out at the very least.

    Bring it on!

I´d to love to see a “traffic mod” from a good modder.
It should contain lots of regular car, a bus and a truck, made with low polygon models, no interior and top speeds of 80 km/h.

Regular traffic on this track would be very cool!

As Vic Elford once said during practice for the race, “I hit a local.”…..

This track is one of the reasons that I am proud of the GPL community. I am glad to see other simulators benefit. The Targa is a blast in GPL and in the Power and Glory cars. I don’t play AC much, but I probably would if I had more time. Thank you to everyone involved, especially Ginetto.

Hi there. Some news about how to download this track? And also, there are chances to see also the Targa Florio Rally version?
