Hope this is part of a new trend of Steam-inspired quicker updates. Though there are some major features and issues long overdue for patching.

I unsubscribed from several isi tracks and cars in the steam workshop.
Now with this update everything is back installed, hopefully this is something that won’t be happening every time.

    • Marcel Offermans

It should be a one time glitch. We changed the way we subscribe to content initially: the previous build contained a hard-coded list of all ISI workshop items and from now on we simply subscribe to all content created by ISI by querying for that in the workshop. The upside is that if ISI releases a new car or track, you get it automatically (and there is no longer manual administration necessary). The downside is that we obviously made a small mistake which caused the issue you were having. The system resubscribed you to content.

I’m glad Isi chose to implement steam workshop so I can fully understand this issue. Thx for explaining!

Good change. I am still using non-Steam only, but as a long-term rF2 user, I agree this new approach is better,

Does anyone know if I can change my profile name inside rF2 into something different to my Steam name? It is kind of annoying to not be able to use whatever name you want for your racing profile… I am obviously talking about the rF2 Steam edition I recently bought during the lifetime subscription sale.

Changelog to Build 1036 makes me to gry. Over four years of development and and not much has chased, same old bugs from beta days and lack of Nvidia support., rFactor 2 is still not playable with Nvidia SLI. > i7- 5930K, Rampage Extreme MBO, 2 x Evga 980Ti, 3x 34″ 144hz curved monitors > 30 – 60fps.
I also noticed that it is pretty silent in rFactor 2 community, not much going on there and multiplayer is like a ghost town. I hope that ISI soon going to realise it is not 2005 it is 2015.

    • Manuel Riger

Without license car series and a crap multiplayer system it will never change in multiplayer. That has nothing to do with 2015 is just the way isi handle the business. And as long as they don t change the way as they think rfactor 2 can be like rfactor 1 = biggest mod community. This will not happen and Things will not change.

      • Ari Antero

rFactor 2 is modding platform. ISI is more than happy to see people create mods for something they are passionate about. There is a place for free, limited and paid mods. The problem is that there are too few modders and game is too unfinished with loads of bugs and lack of info from ISI what is going on.
