Reiza Studios Launch Crowdfunding Campaign

Reiza Studios, creators of the ever-expanding Game Stock Car Extreme title, have launched a crowd-funding campaign to strengthen the studio’s further developments.

Reiza Studios, creators of the ever-expanding Game Stock Car Extreme title, have launched a crowd-funding campaign to strengthen the studio’s further developments.

The crowdfunding campaign is planned to raise the required funds to allow Reiza to keep publishing free updates for their titles, a strategy that is no longer financially viable without additional backing.

The studio recently licensed the source code of ISI’s gMotor 2 engine that Reiza’s games are built upon, allowing the studio to add further functionality to the proven engine, including:

  • Graphics & audio enhancements
  • Physics developments to include tire damage, realistic drivetrain modeling, enhanced FFB
  • New hi-res UI design + HUD system customized for each car type
  • Support for long distance races
  • Automatic steering ratio adjustment + Support for more controller inputs & newer hardware
  • A Custom championship tool so users can build their own seasons for offline racing.

  • Bruno Teodoro Pinheiro

Already donated. Gone for the hundred. Good luck Reiza, and I truly hope that this can really happen, you guys deserve it!

  • Pablo Coronel

    gMotor is endless.

  • MC

*inb4 the vote downs* If this is the future of sim-racing you can keep it. I’m personally not going to give a developer money based on promises. I think Reiza have supported their titles beyond most devs, create something new and I might buy it, I’m not going to pay to have access to a dev forum…

    • BackMarker

No worries! Then you can wait for the final product and follow the development progress at other sites.

    • QUF

The thing is the main goal is for the devs to have more funds to expand this game and the next. If you trust the devs work, then supporting financially this crowdfunding campaign is enough. The dev forum access is just a bonus, depending on the level of support you paid.

For sure the devs can further develop the game without people having access to their dev forum. But other people may also want to help during the development, before game/update is released to the public.

    • Bakkster

On the other hand Reiza seems to have some pretty solid packages that don’t require you to buy on promises. The $30 and $50 packages let you get access by buying Stock Car Extreme and/or Formula Truck at retail price.

Basically you buy the games, get input into the new one, and have no obligations beyond that. Sounds imminently reasonable to me.

      • pez2k

I went in at the level that promised their next game plus DLC as a reward – it was a pretty reasonable price even just viewed as a new game plus season pass preorder, and I don’t mind paying up front to get more Reiza content down the line.

If their dev forum is even half as open and interesting as WMD was, then that itself is a huge bonus to me too.

    • Descoat

I respect your decission. If you didn´t like their last work it´s normal for you not supporting them. This money is for developing GSCE with new content, dx, physics and others. The crowfunding is not for the new game. That´s the reason for me to support them. GSCE is a jewell and I prefer them to finish it and keep it for ever. It will be difficult to make another game as this.

      • Alex Sawczuk

DX wont change in GSC/FT. Please read the text carefully 🙂

    • FataL

I respect your decission too but if you really enjoying what reiza has done till now…then u can just sent them 10$…dont forget that gsc only costs 18-25 euros 🙂 … it will be a big support for them

  • Descoat

Paid! One more to support Reiza. You are great, guys!

  • BackMarker

awesome! best of luck to Reiza!
    : )

  • Dani .

I trust. No other team deserves money as them. They did what they could for “free”. Seems fair and ok o to me. If they release a new dx12 etc.. I think it will be de “definitive” sim, they are always aiming for that.
Good luck reiza I bet for you!

  • olddarth

I’m generally against crowd funding unless it’s for a niche game that would not get made otherwise or, as in Reiza’s case, for a company that has proven their worthiness by the track record of their support and continuing development of their products.

  • FataL

Its gonna be “2easy4reiza to reach that goal”…im sure 🙂

    Btw…how can we fast forward >> the calendar to Q4 2016??? 😀

    • BackMarker

      human cryogenics ftw!

    • RapidRefund

So can you get a 45mm domed badge of your profile picture. I wanna put it on a horn button to give to my favorite loser

      • FataL

Its not free….it will cost you…look i will open a donate button and you will have the chance to choose between a few levels:
Level 1: costs 10$ and gives u just the outline of my picture
Leve 2: costs 50$ and gives u level1 plus the black color
Level 3: costs 1000000$ and gives u L1+L2+ 45mm”Loser word” plus the chance to have a dinner with me…the bigest loser in the world 😀

      • RapidRefund

I ain’t goin no fricken hundred on dat one!

  • pcarsphyxexpert

hahahahha, OZ V8SC coming soon, “maybe” before the fund raiser ends!!!!!

  • Markus Ott

When Reiza has shown significant improvments in the graphics department I might get into it.

    • pcarsphyxexpert

It looks very good to me….

      • Hash

Looks great doing 300k’s in one of the best driving model F1 cars out there today.

    • BackMarker

It looks fair, the colors are a bit garish, but I do not know if that is by reisa choice or limitation of the engine.
      imho,ymmv

  • Joe Durnavich

What level gets you dinner with Niels Heusinkveld?

    • Niels Heusinkveld

That was supposed to be level 13, but that just felt like bad luck, no matter how good I look in candle light.. 😉

      • RapidRefund

        LMAO

    • Dentykaffalatta

Actually that might be fun. We know Niels won’t threaten to sue you or claim to be what was it? “I AM A SIMRACING GOD!!!” as two other certain well known members of the sim community would do/have done. lol. To be honest, to meet Niels would be quite an honour and worth it. Good idea mate!

  • Mauricio Sawamu

I paid too! $ 75 for the developer of one of the best simulator on the market

  • Patrik Marek

    not for me, thank you
I rather give them money fro their new game

    • RapidRefund

That is exactly what it get’s you a copy of their new game with $50 and up. I went in for a hundred!

      • Patrik Marek

yes, but the money doesn’t go directly into that new game, as well as beta. I don’t want to be part of their old sim, I would be interested in the new one

      • RapidRefund

When they start the forum for the new title I will be there with voting privileges. I already own all their for sale material so I am interested in their new title as well

      • Patrick Giranthon

The licenses gain for GSC will be included in the next game. So even if you are only interested by this one, helping here would make also a better n’est game.

    • Dentykaffalatta

That’s because you don’t have any left. You gave it all to Ian Bell. lmao

      • Patrik Marek

really? is this the best you can do ?

      • Dentykaffalatta

What? People that have opinions other than the “Pcars is the greatest thing ever and everything else sucks”? that you post in almost everything you post? Oh well. can’t say it bothers me.

      • Patrik Marek

where did I say that my reply ? I just find it immature and silly saying about someone that he doesn’t have any money becuase he gave them to I.Bell

it’s totally unnecessary , and I find it hard to clasify that as “oppinion” , it’s more like LIE ,
Oppinion would be ” you don’t want support reiaze becasue you chosen to support arcade rubbish” that would be oppinion, wrong, but at least an oppinion

  • Franx JeKo D’Aloia

    Better them than SMS.

  • ImageArtSigns .

Have already purchased the Level 5 pack and looking forward to all the new content eventually…and with all the new content coming, I feel it will be one of the most diverse Sim packages out there…well done Reiza.

  • CombatSanta_pDm

    It’s a shame GSCE doesn’t support VR and it doesn’t seem like they intend to with this update. I can’t go back to playing on a monitor… I can’t.. I won’t.. 🙂

    • Patrick Giranthon

It is written : support for newer hardware. So Perhaps the VR

  • Patrik Marek

I wondered though, that screenshot with HoldenV8, is that already the glimpse of new engine ? it just looks so much better then everything else I have seen from Reiza

  • Dentykaffalatta

Kind of disappointing that these guys have started the crowdfunding scam too. Either way, I hope it works out for them. Cheers!

  • Kev

They need broader representation of cars like rF2. Only car I drive is historic 911 and that is a mod.

  • EDJ Gamer

I am sure SMS will succeed as a company and produce many
more iterations of PCars. However, they offer nothing different than many gaming
    developers out there….”empty promises”….”a buggy release”….and “missing
features”. On top of that, their sarcastic attitude towards their customers is
    even worse than other devs.

With that said, I would not fund a company when I get better
quality (and better customer appreciation) from other racing sim devs out
    there.

GSC doesn’t have as much visibility, but when they opened
their crowdfunding, folk were eager to jump in because Reiza seems to be committed to building a top quality sim with tons of support…at least more so than the rest.
