Asphalt color need some work.. other than that it looks almost more real than the original.

    • Fabian Cerqueira

Agree, the asphalt color needs to be closer to the real track. This is a quite unique characteristic of this track.

Isn’t just because the asphalt is really old, and needs repaved? I’ve seen lots of old asphalt that gets very light with age. But it would be more authentic if as the real.

It’s worth noting that the RL footage is quite a bit overexposed and washed out, with heavily clipped whites (se clouds and sky). So it looks a bit off in the video, especially since the tarmac is light to begin with.

Otherwise I agree, the sim version is a tad dark. Somewhere in the middle would be optimal. I’m not too bothered though.

This is a 2014 shot.. you can see the track and new asphalt going in to the pitlane..

        what’s with those cardboard people?

        (:

The developers has now done “some work”. A new lighter surface has been made and will be in a build shortly 🙂

I love how quick SMS’ turnaround is on stuff like this, I’m glad they’re still dedicated to accuracy even in the pre-release crunch.

2 turn made very bad. But in general is very similar

  • Rubrbrnr

The RL version with the featureless, light colored track surface looks so fake. I really prefer the PCars version…… 😉

I am neither a fan of the gamey graphics or the strange engine sound.

  • David Hughes

The accuracy could be improved in places but the graphic quality is surely the best around to date.

1:1 correlation to my eyes (save the tarmac colour).

Is RA asphalt or cement? The colors seems to be cement.
