Nürburgring Nordschleife for netKar Pro – Released

Tomas Torasen has released the Nürburgring Nordschleife for netKar Pro, adding the world’s most challenging and dangerous race track to Kunos Simulazioni’s simulation.

Based on the excellent rFactor Nordschleife made by Com8, the netKar version comes with new textures and a smoothed & adjusted road surface to suit netKar Pro’s physics.

The track is included in the very atmospheric fall version, including both the tourist layout of the ring as well as the layouts used by the VLN series and the Nürburgring 24h race.

Below is a video showing a lap around the track in the Osella hillclimb prototype, the track weighs 284mb and can be downloded below.

    Laggish with power PC 🙁

  • Silly(c)One

    It looks gorgeous !

There is still life in netKar Pro, this is the best addition ever !

Thanks to the convertor, very nice job !

And, Gulyo, why always so bitter and negqtive all the time ? Life is short, better enjoy it while it lasts 😉

Nice except for the somewhat reduced and SHIFT-like (that SHIFT the game) depth of field.  On track like this it would be great to have a good infinite DOF.  If a console racer can have it despite having to deal with less CPU and GPU power, then there’s no excuse for a PC sim resorting to this trick (of reducing DOF).

It doesn’t get much better than this…

It’s not depth of field, it’s perspective foggin.
Still sharp only bit more grey at the horizon.
Just like in real life, maybe a bit overdone.
But quite common in a european forrest surrounding.

Brilliant stuff, this track and nKpro fit together like a glove..

  • Ricoo

    Thanks a lot.

I know wich sim I will launch this evening. 🙂

The depth perception- whether it’s via fogging or by blurring (the latter is definitely shallow DOF)- has been reduced.  Here’s a image of Nurburging in GT5.  I took it off the screen in gameplay using my digicam.  You can see the GP track very clearly despite this being a console race on an extremely underpowered PS3:

    Cool! Looks great! 🙂

Downloading (slow, very slow), lot of thanks! 😉

Just wondering. It is based on Com8’s track. And this game does cost money. Does that mean Com8 gets money. Wouldn’t that mean he should have the permission to sell the track? Or is tracks free for all, unlike cars?

I guess this partly applies even if Com8 have “donated” the track.

It does not apply if this is a free track though.

YEAH!  tomorrow I’m going to try this out (10 laps at least) for the first thing when I got home.
    can’t wait it!

now there’s a great tire model, a great track and some great race cars in nKPro but I’m also a big fan of road cars…

  • StarFoXySxv550

NK Pro is mod-able, there are a few track mods for it now, no where near as much as R-factor though

  • EmptyBox

The track this essentially comes from is now nearly 15 years old.

  • Justin ForzaBarça D’Cruze

This is awesome, thanks so much! Cant wait to give the Daytona a spin around here 😀

  • The Biff

slow download but worth the wait!!
