Zach Griffin has released a very big new gallery of Kart Kraft previews as the title heads towards Steam Early Access status.

The previews show several karts in action, showing off both dry and wet weather racing and other details.

Formally known as KartSim, KartKraft will be accurately simulating the the thrill of driving a racing kart, the starting point of almost every professional racing career. To ensure realism, the title uses an industry standard tire model and a real-time FEM model to simulate the flex of the chassis.

KartKraft’s upcoming Early Access version will feature 16 karts grouped into four classes as well as four laser-scanned kart circuits. Players will also be able to sample chapter one of the title’s career mode.

    Looks simply fantastic!

Yep, the graphics look flawless. If the rest of the sim follows suit, it’s going to be top stuff imo.

wow, looks like a Driveclub graphic engine adopted i must say, good job.

  • Dani .

Best screenshots i have ever seen, a bit clean textures, and soft shaders in the bumps & tires.

That rain drop reflects the image, that level of detail is really insane.

The graphics look amazing! DoF just perfect, just like the lighting system and the textures. If the physics/handling are on par with the graphics, we can have a great title to play. A bit off-topic but I’m wondering why Kunos didn’t create a kart yet.

    😛

I will be shocked if it looks even one-quarter that good in motion when actually driving. But hey, if it does, we just set a new higher bar for sim graphics that will push others even farther behind. Good luck. Looking forward to early reviews on this one.

“we just set a new higher bar for sim graphics that will push others even farther behind.”

Only those that can’t, won’t or refuse to evolve will be pushed behind.

It’s ingame. I can report that it does look that good, if your machine can handle it 🙂

  • Rantam

It does looks great (apart from those huge raindrops, but it’s still WIP so no big deal). Not my cup of tea though 🙂

Maybe you should switch to Coffee then

  • UzairH

Not my cup of tea either in terms of racing subject matter, but the graphics are indeed very very good. I don’t like the grainy depth of of field though. Otherwise the visuals look tack sharp and a cut above almost all sims out there, perhaps equaling Project CARS.

Awesome Artwork and detail showcased on a superb graphics engine. if the physics match and is all optimized for smooth operation it’s a sure winner!
