iRacing has released a new render of the Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 car that is due to join their online racing simulation soon.

Powered by a 3.8 liter V8 bi-turbo engine, the MP4-12C is build to the FIA GT3 regulations based on the MP4-12C road car. The car made its competition debut in the British GT Championship last year and went on to compete in various events, including the Spa 24 Hours race. The car became an instant success as all 20 cars built for the 2012 season have already been sold to customers.

This. This might be a reason for me to start using iRacing. Might.

iRacing is worth what you put into it.  It’s not a racing sim to be taken lightly and will pay dividends in enjoyment for the commitment.

The only thing thats keeping from it atm is the subscription model. It’s like WoW, and I no likey.

Just race often, take advantage of the right offers and it basically costs nothing for a year.

got to agree, I only buy when they have offers and I reckon I have probably saved about 50% which is reasonable when you consider how high quality it is… I am slightly frustrated by some bugs but when you learn to drive round them it is great fun!! its a lot more complicated to drive than perhaps it should be though, we are all on the same so regardless of whether thats what happens at that speed etc its great racing…its the only sim outside of leagues where the racing is clean and fair!! I absolutely love RF1, RF2, GTR, etc but the netcode on all those titles is horrendous and there is always an idiot out to take you out, then drive backwards etc! You pay for High quality circuits and the best online racing and netcode!! come join the fun!

I think they should do like WOW does. Actually this is worse then wow investment wise.

This way you pay for sub and still have to pay more for the content.  Wow comes out with say.. 50 dollar ad on every 2 years?

Still not even close to what you need to pay for all of Iracings content.  I would rather see Iracing charge $15.oo  a month and you get full content as you unlock license (no payments for tracks or cars).  Biggest problem with this would be current member would be pissed off about how much they payed so … ?

They would make so much more money with that plan then they are making now and in a year have 10x more subs.

Believe me, you will also not like some more frustrating aspects of iRacing, not just the subscription model.
