FVR V8 Supercars 2014 – Sydney Preview Video

FVRFactor has released a new preview video of their FVR V8 Supercars 2014 mod for rFactor & rFactor 2.

FVRFactor has released a new preview video of their FVR V8 Supercars 2014 mod for rFactor & rFactor 2.

The video shows us Marcos Ambrose racing on Sydney’s Homebush Street Circuit, one the typical V8 Supercars venues that will be included with the mod.

While the video shows the car & track in rFactor 1 for now, the mod is due to be released both for rFactor and the new rFactor 2 platform, featuring all cars and drivers from the 2014 season of Australia’s super-popular touring car series.

  • S- mann

for what i see here iam not impressed.

    • Tony Love

don’t come to our site then,no loss to us.

  • Kevin Cox

Quality of the YouTube video is awful. Would like to see some screenshots instead. 🙂

    • Gui Cramer

It’s not just Youtube quality, it’s the source quality. It doesn’t help that the guy’s graphics settings aren’t the highest.

      • ftrracingtv

people need to get e good graphics card like the GTX 970 for $327 (not that expensive at all maybe 1 weeks wages) http://www.amazon.com/Zotac-GeForce-DisplayPort-Graphics-ZT-90101-10P/dp/B00NNXVPS2/ref=sr_1_19?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1418068002&sr=1-19&keywords=gtx970

also you get over 100 fps on rF2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfAcyQMRGnU&list=UUNSfNMzYrtoRnZkr_9-kvDQ (video from Tim Wheatley so you know there not crappy settings)

      • http://danmarr.weebly.com Danfilm007

It’s not that easy to get that much for some people! I bet if we could upgrade our systems, we would!

      • ftrracingtv

How is it not easy its just swapping out the card

      • http://danmarr.weebly.com Danfilm007

It’s not just swapping out a card! For some people (myself included) we haven’t got the money to pay for a new card, family lives, food, and other hobbies often come first. As much as we all wish we could have a highly powerful, £11 thousand PC System, none of us could afford it.

      • ftrracingtv

LOL you dont need an £11 thousand PC System

I understand that family and food comes first always but dont show us a product you have made with some bad graphics even if its drives well it just puts people off it

      • http://danmarr.weebly.com Danfilm007

True, although again a lot of us probably can’t run rF2 of AC or whatever at full graphic settings, so sometimes a lower quality is a good point to see

      • Tony Love

quick lo-res video to show where we are at,no like-no comment

      • Tony Love

Exactly,Not 1 of us that work on our mod can afford current systems like ftrracingtv.

  • http://danmarr.weebly.com Danfilm007

This is in rF2, not rF1.

    • ftrracingtv

though it as rF1 it was that bad

  • Bill Clinton

    How not to promote things…..

    • Tony Love

      Quick lo-res to show,You do better………

  • James Cook

Sometimes it’s best to say nothing at all.

On a positive note, Tim Wheatley of Image Space Inc., shares hes Oculus Rift DK2 Opinions and Review.

    Very good review as well.

    • Kev

      Lol

    • Tony Love

Longest most boring explanation of a device i have ever heard.

  • Gone Broke Racing

I tested this track with my GTX 980 and it looks and feels very good, especially for an alpha release. It’s an excellent representation of the real thing in my opinion. Great job FVR!

    • ftrracingtv

Does it look much better than what I am seeing in the video

      • Gone Broke Racing

Absolutely, especially with HDR enabled. Remember folks, this is just in Alpha stage at the moment also.

      • Tony Love

        Yes it does.

  • aldkdh

The FVR v8s have been some of the most fun to drive mods in rfactor-partly because the real things are beasts. Keep it up and ignore the whiners.

  • Pablo Coronel

I know my beloved RF2 and his deep physics and his nice graphics but that clip not look good at all.

    • Anthony Birch

i am pleased to see you read the title screen on the clip, ‘Alpha Test’

      • Pablo Coronel

Is not the content, is how you show it, i have alphas in my rf2 and look ten times better than that, and again, is not the content.

  • Kev

    Looking forward to it

  • Anthony Birch

well it turns out that the video was originally posted on the rf2 site, so virtualr has sponged the video from them, so blame them for the poor ‘second hand’ quality

  • Anthony Birch

the poster of the original video was going out for dinner and just did a quick low quality vid to post, he didnt realize it had to be OSCAR quality

  • Tony Love

I just want to apologise on behalf of Flash for the poor video quality in that clip. When he recorded it he did it about 5 minutes before he was going out for the weekend. So he did it quickly and his settings were incorrect and he had a quick look but didn’t worry too much. In fact as a group we don’t really care for videos and screenshots publicly, we’re not advertising anything for sale, in fact this is the first year we have come out and about to show something because we grow weary of the knockers. Actually we do this for free, for nothing and its taking up our time not anyone elses. It appears the judges and executioners here at VirtualR.net have decided again we are crap because of the poor settings of the video quality. Thankyou to those that do understand. I’m not sure how others mod but we don’t have a lot of free time these days and I know Flash has an extremely busy lifestyle and modding does take a full back seat these days but we try very hard to bring everyone something for nothing. We know there is a new standard at ISI but they get paid, we don’t and we only have one modeller/put it togetherer and it takes a lot of time. We even aplogised for the quality of the video on the site that the video comes from at Youtube. The Sydney track was put together from the rF1 and has had some changes recently and is undergoing a lot of modifications, like a complete overhaul, so is our Surfers Paradise long and short circuits and our Bathurst circuit has been restarted and well underway. Did I mention we only have one modeller/put it togetherer. We are damn busy and modding is crammed in to it. I guess we are lucky in this day and age – we can bag the crap out of the people that try to give you something for nothing and we can sit behind our keyboards and critique something we have no idea about. I guess the question must be asked, why do modders bother making stuff. Seriously would you if you were subjected to constant bagging.

    • Anthony Birch

Exactly, sooks are gonna sook i guess

    • JayC

Ahh, you have got to love the internet. It’s where the stupid, ignorant and just plain nasty get a voice.
Keep up the good work on your mod guys. I for one can’t wait to get my hands on it.
