Curious how this will be. But, no interest until it has wheel support.

  • RapidRefund

Downloading Now Will get back with you on insight

    • melanieuk1

Can’t wait for your review, always liked your views, when you had your old name, a few of a my steam friends have downloaded it, not asked for their opinion yet, as I’m busy right now, with my son but will do later on tonight once I’ve settled down.

  • Chris

Yeah no interest here until it has wheel support, have to wonder what they were thinking releasing it to a PC crowd with no wheel support… designed with a gaming pad hmmm… Those have turned out well in the past…not (codemasters pre-dirt),

    • brrupsz

Yeah because owning a PC means owning a wheel.

  • pez2k

Bad news on the modding front: they’ve encrypted just about every file that would let you make an interesting change. Outside of that most things seem to be the same as Forza 4 and thus very moddable, but because it’s a UWP ‘app’ it just crashes if you change anything.

It also just crashes anyway half of the time, but that’s a different matter…

  • Franklin Silva

    sad… only windows 10 and dx12 GPU…

    • Paul Maguire

      get with the times 🙂

    • ftrracingtv

windows 10 is really good and since its a free upgrade from windows 7/8 its well worth it

  • Bruno Teodoro Pinheiro

Started downloading just now. I’ll be able to test in about three to four days.
But seems like a solid first entry, can’t wait for the Wheel Support/Horizon 3

    • ftrracingtv

yeah doesnt look the download servers are as fast as they are on steam

  • delpinsky

I can’t even configure my PS2 joypad with FORZA. Funny thing is, it works great with rFactor2 (since I can’t mount my simrig now) 🙂

    • pez2k

Only XInput controllers are supported by UWP ‘apps’ like Apex, while rF2 is a normal Win32 program which can use the older DirectInput too. Try using something like x360ce to emulate an XInput controller.

      • delpinsky

Good idea, but the problem remains due to the WindowsApps folder…I’m trying to get rid of all the permission issues, since x360ce can’t copy any dll in there.

      • pez2k

Ah, sorry, I didn’t realise it needed a DLL – I experimented earlier with stripping the permissions from the folder but the game would no longer launch until it re-downloaded all 18GB. I believe the only choice you have is which drive the WindowsApps folder goes on, nothing more. Just another UWP restriction…

      • delpinsky

I did it!!! Xpadder works emulating the keyboard and it cheats UWP 🙂 Amazing! I didn’t even need to install all the stuff from here: h t t p s : // w w w .reddit. com /r/SteamController/comments/4b8zdp/xoutput_for_uwp_games/

  • ftrracingtv

wow running 780ti and getting like 10fps every other game I have played I can get well over 60fps

    • hotak

check your ram usage: i cannot run it even on min settings because with 8Gb it runs out of memory

      • ftrracingtv

ok weird i can play in window mode and the frame rate seems to be solid

  • Marklar

Does it have split screen mode like old Forzas? I’d like to play it with my son.

  • doubledragonccc

Typical, because they want it to only be in high quality they wont let me download because my system might not get high FPS. How dare they be so discriminate and unjust to us with not the BEST systems. I have a $2500 laptop ASUS G75 that plays anything I put on it and they wont LET me download. I am expected to upgrade a WHOLE system just for their games if I want to play them. Typical MS marketing scam. Screw them both!!!

  • brrupsz

A little advice – set graphics settings manually. On gtx970 it sets 30fps limit and pretty bad details, but on manual it’s easy 60fps on high. It runs nice for a beta.

  • Sanazabaaar

Cant even download because my Microsoft edge/play store are not working and just shuts off. I prefer IE anyway but do want the game… Can anybody help?

  • Delicious Points

Dude, what’s the point of playing this if it has no multiplayer support whatsoever? =(

  • Tom Coombs

Put a few cars on the track at Spa and it bought my PC to it’s knees. First game in a very long time to do that. Doesn’t even look that great either. I used to be a HUGE Forza fan back in the 360 days, but since not buying an Xbox One, I’ve fallen out of love. Sorry Turn 10, it’s just not good enough anymore, and that breaks my heart.
