The sounds from Fonsecker are great. But should it be better than real ones (supposing all sounds from Kunos were recorded at track and with Porsche approval) ?

You suppose to much. Whatever the source, standard AC sound are very sterile,

Impressive. I had goosebumps listening with my headphone.

I think the latest sounds with the Porsche content are very good overall but, Fonsecker’s sound-mods do add some detail and effects missing in the stock sounds. Stock AC sounds do continue to improve but, it would be nice to have some of the older content brought up to current standards.

Fonsecker’s Gearbox noise and external sounds are consistently better than AC sounds, and many of the internals have better dynamic range and attention to detail. Fonsecker has a good grasp of tuning various aspects of approach / departure sound-effects to create more convincing replay sounds overall.

I think Codies (Dirt Rally) have mastered the art of sound as well as anyone; by using a very capable sound-engine, superbly mastered samples and expert application of environmental effects, they set the bar for racing-sounds IMO.

do these sounds make any different to incar or is it just external?

    • Race Nut

The modification-levels vary from one car to the next but, generally – they include improvements to both internal and external sounds.
