F1 2011 – Final Developer Video Diary

With the release of their F1 2011 title now just a week away, Codemasters have released the final developer video diary on the new title.

The video highlights some of the main new features the title will have to offer, including the proper simulation of KERS & DRS, the Pirelli tires and, of course, the working safety car.

F1 2011 will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on September 23, right in time for the final races of the real life 2011 Formula One World Championship season. The new title will come with improved graphics & handling, new features such as multiplayer splitscreen, a working safety car as well as a much more extensive career mode.

Well I’m gonna say it.  All the gameplay footage in that vid looks amazing.   If it drives at least as well as a decent rF mod this could be my new addiction.

I agree, I played F1 2010 for about a week when it was first released and haven’t touched it since but the preview material for ’11 is looking much more polished.

My main hope is that it’s optimised better than last year’s effort, I have a decent setup and 2010 never ran to my satisfaction whereas DiRT 3 is perfect maxed out. Go figure.

My F1-2010 had the same longevity.  About a month and I never touched it again.  A shame really and I hope this does 12 times better at least.
