Endurance Series – ORECA 01 & 03 Revelead

Team Enduracers have revealed new content for their Endurance Series mod.

Even though the team has not settled on a new platform yet, Team Endurancers continues to develop their Endurance Series mod as fresh content for the popular mod has been announced.

Endurance Series will feature the ORECA 03 LMP2 car that the team developed for their co-operation with RS Simulations and Signatech Alpine Racing. As usual with Enduracers, the car will come in two different specifications and plenty of liveries.

Furthermore, the team has also been working on the 03’s big brother, the 01 LMP1 car that was raced during the 2009-2010 season, using an AIM engine.

The two ORECA’s are the newest content in line to come to Endurance Series, joining the Aston Martin AMR-One, the BMW M3 E92 GT2 and the Zytek 07s LMP1 & LMP2 cars.

We still have to wait a litle longer to learn which simulation the mod and its new content will be heading to, until then you can enjoy plenty of new previews below!

    AC Please.

    AC Please!

Same votes for all the AC reqs and the rest are guests… hmmm.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    AC Please!

  • Justin Schmidt

rf please! their pro partners use it in rfactor so it should be the best platform.

  • Pablo Coronel

    RF2 Please!

So they have cars but no game? Kind of non-news if you ask me. rFactor 2 is the only next-gen moddable game with actual online racing, it has the best tire model and the best netcode. It is the obvious choice. rFactor 1 is passe, AC isn’t ready yet.

    • F1Racer

rf2 having the best tyre model is debatable. Well, either that or their green track system is messed up.

rF1 is a good as it always was. People are still driving sims that are so so much older than rF1. Also GSC 2013 is the same engine and that’s recognised as one of the best sims around.

  • Robert Gรถdicke

As much as I like the driving, ffb and graphics in Assetto Corsa, I wouldn’t see it as the best platform for the Endurance Series mod. At least not yet.

It is not planned so far to implement driver swaps in AC. Dynamic weather neither. Even pitstops won’t make it into version 1.0, and we’ve yet to see how good the netcode will be.

I’d like to see the “ultimate sim” myself, but there is none. And chances are there never will be. Different sims for different kinds of racing. From a current standpoint, rFactor 2 offers more features in its current state than any other sim out there which fits the table of requirements for endurance racing. Driver swaps, weather, day night cycles. It’s all there and working.

I’m not a fanboy of any sim. I’d even go as far as saying that I think Kunos nailed the physics. But it’s not the platform for racing for me because of lack of features which – probably – will never be added to the game (weather, driver swaps…).

    • F1Racer

“But it’s not the platform for racing for me because of lack of features
which – probably – will never be added to the game (weather, driver
      swaps…).”

Which could be the biggest shame for AC as it clearly has the potential to be an amazing sim. But without proper pitstops and weather it would always be incomplete for me. So I hope they do include them as any sim worth it’s salt should have these features by default.

      • Robert Gรถdicke

Different people have different priorities. For me, personally, driver swaps are even more important than weather actually.

I certainly don’t want to be sitting through a 24h multiplayer race all by myself. ๐Ÿ˜€

Endurance racing is my favourite kind of motorracing though, so I’m currently left with no other sims than rFactor 1 and 2.

      • F1Racer

Yep you’re right. I’ve never used or needed driver swaps as I don’t do online endurance racing.
It’s impossible for a sim developer to satisfy everyone and the ones who aren’t satisfied sure let them know about it.

Isn’t GTR2 or Evo also an option endurance racing ?

      • Noel Hibbard

No driver swaps in those either. I think people get confused because of the famous GTR24h event but that event is all done locally. Drivers physically swap in and out of a shared rig. Right now only rF1/2 support swaps. iR has talked about adding swaps for a very long time but I have lost hope.

      • F1Racer

Well if Enduracers want to simulate proper Endurance races then rF1 or rF2 seems to be the only option at present which would make the decision a no-brainer.

But, if they decide to port it over to AC just as the mod that it is, sacrificing things like endurance races, then I’m sure many of us wouldn’t mind too much ๐Ÿ™‚
Those cars in AC.. oh yes ๐Ÿ™‚

Same goes for DRM and HistorX mods actually. Those mods in rF2 could be quite amazing but can they match their rF1 counterparts in rF2’s seemingly early development stage ?

I’m a little baffled at the long gaps between rF2 updates but maybe it’s because Kunos is nailing one every fortnight.

  • gt3rsr

I see the mod is being developed in rF1, so the logical choice would be to release it for rF1, wouldn’t it? Later conversions are possible of course….

    • F1Racer

That would make the most sense.

    • noneofyourbusiness

I’d be happy to play it in rF1 still, brilliant mod.

  • Markus Ott

Bad situation for an endurance mod. rF2 is dead and AC doesn’t seem to have the features to simulate endurance racing. After all they have to make the choice between presentation (AC) and all necessary features for their mod (rF2). I personally would choose rF2 in that case, but I am glad I don’t have to make that call.

    • Anonymous

I don’t think rF2 is dead by any means of course I really don’t do online MP but I don’t think that should be the only determining factor of the life of a product of this nature.
AFM IMO the Endurance Series mod on rF1 is the #1 piece of simulation software out there and If they decide to convert it to rF2 I see nothing wrong with that. Those lobbies may fill quite quickly then! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Jim. C

rF2 is dead? Far from it.

    • Guy Moulton

rF2 is dead???? LOL, you need to look around- it’s alive and well.

    • Anonymous

rF2 is more like infant, pretty much the opposite of dead. It’s in the beginning of its life, it’s still open question whether it will ever be as alive as it’s parent rf1 but it’s certainly far far from death.

  • Jim. C

In my opinion rFactor 2 is the platform best suited to an endurance mod. As much as I like Assetto Corsa it doesn’t have the feature set of rF2 i.e. dynamic time of day and weather, track evolution, pit stops, etc….

AC will be a great sprint racer but for a serious endurance mod it has to be rF2. Still, URD are filling the void quite nicely if Enduracers decide to go AC.

    • Pablo Coronel

You say it, URD has the mods of the moment, and it gonna have more ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Kenneth Sehested Pedersen

    Agree move on to Rf2

  • http://www.autosim.ru/ Max Pautov

Jim. C,Kenneth Sehested Pedersen,+1,you are right!

  • Diego Colafabio

This is what i call “true modding”. Congrats guys. Lovely work.

  • M1GHTY M4VS

rF1 as it is, eventual AC and rF2 to see what Concept suits it better and Modding Support it gets.

My Worry is LMP1 is at risk of being done away with all together as well as DP and the premier car in Sportscar racing being the LMP2 with what ACO and IMSA are planning together. Probably the cost of running an LMP1 team is a major factor as well as having a more spec base P2 class. I for one would like to see DP remain in North America and Drop LMP2 and bring back LMP1, and in other regions run LMP1 and LMP2
