UnitedRacingDesigns have released their Corvette C6.R ZR1 for rFactor 2.

UnitedRacingDesigns have released their Corvette C6.R ZR1 for rFactor 2.

The car is part of the team’s upcoming Endurance Racing X payware mod, the Corvette is free for everyone to enjoy though.

Coming in the version that contested the GTE-Pro class of the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours, the car has been made 99% scratch made aside from some ISI textures that have been used.

Alongside with the car, the team has also released painting templates so everyone can paint up their own liveries, official Corvette liveries will come from the team later on.

That looks very nice. Hope it drives as good as it looks.

It drives very well. As it’s free there’s no reason not to try it. The whole mod is gonna be awesome I think.

Nice video.. only you should lower your FOV.
You basically have the whole front view in just one monitor.
The sides are way to stretched.

      • Daan Loos

Obviously he’s using triple screens and just shows it in 1080p 😉

This and I actually use a low FOV when driving, but I used this FOV in this specific replay only to show the whole cockpit panorama!

        Ah ok.. sorry…
@ Daan Loos: Fov wont change rendering to a different resolution 😉

    Thanksss URD!

    United Racing Design = AWESOME

  • Marc Collins

Wow, what a gorgeous car (in-game it looks more like an actual car than anything else I have seen in rF2 so far). And handling and other details seem incredibly authentic to me. If the rest of the mod is done to this quality, it will be worth a reasonable payware fee (to me, anyway!).

    Nice work,very good the video!
Where can i see the whole mod?

  • Patrick McTie

Just gave it a few laps around Sebring. Very, very nice. Love it.

  • Dani .

As i saw in the video sounds are maybe the best I have heard in Rf2.

    • D3

I remember reading that Ales is using the sounds off the ISI Corvette.

      • Dani .

I can say they aren’t now but they were. Maybe some samples are the same, and they did sound mixing tweaks only, but they not sound the same for sure. Shifting is much better, when unloading the throtle it’s really god too.

      • Ales Ogrinc

Our first betas used ISI sounds yes, we didnt even plan at first time to make them but our sound guy decided to do them as he had some great source and now they are completly new, nothing from ISI vette there.

  • Chris D

Please consider putting this in Asseto Corsa

    • Ales Ogrinc

      We are 🙂

Nice Work, waiting for the full Release

  • Miguel Azera

Lovely work URD!! I tried your other free demo but had never driven a DTM mod so had nothing to compere it to but this feels allot nicer than the ISI Vette, even with green track and cold tires it just feels more planted and a more stable platform. This being a pay mod I was kind of skeptical if its worth the price, not because I think its expensive but we are so used to get everything for free and there’s some really great free mods out there but this really is quality work. I can imagine how much fun it will be to have a full grid of Prototypes and GTs built to this quality so will probably be picking this one up when released.

A quick few laps around Silverstone and may rate as the best modern GT in rFactor 2. Look forward to a Assetto Corsa release though, would not feel out of place in Kunos’ sim.

  • Sigmatc

Great work. This is how a racing Corvette is supposed to behave on a track. Thanks

  • Kendra Jacobs

I love how so many people are praising this cars physics and saying this is how a corvette is supposed to behave hahaha this car is arcade the only thing giving it life is the physics of the rf2 engine in the backround running it. The car itself plugged into any other sim would be crap. Hammering the throttle in first gear and slow speeds while turning sharply with barely a slip of the tire? You gotta be joking yourselves.

Back to the ISI version, if you can’t handle it that’s your problem go get some practice, read a book or 2, use your brain when driving, stick to your limits instead of thinking you’re all heroes or Sennas, or just play this mod or ac and then you can drive brainless without concern for any skill lol.

Now that I got rFactor2 running again. (bad bios driver). I’m very glad to see good tire physics can be achieved. As in this Vet. Kendra Jacobs must be driving with aids and auto-clutch. Because I could do burnouts easily. Just like the real deal. Hope others jump on board with realistic tire physics. I know they will. And some already have.
