And what about the console PS4 OOooo yes I forgot we are second class players .

actually i dont recall them ever saying it would be the same as PC

I’m sure it’s coming. Difference is on PC they can release as many patches as they want. On consoles there’s a certification process that takes some time (could be months, especially for small devs/publishers).

And not only does it take time, it costs tens of thousands of dollars.

      • Paul Maguire

i didnt know that they had to pay, surely its not $10k for small updates.

Most of the details on the certification fees are old, but it literally was tens of thousands of dollars. Tim Schaefer once quoted $40k.

This is because you submit it for testing, and they run through a testing checklist (does it display “don’t turn off the console while saving”, handling turning off a controller, etc) which takes many hours.

Link on certification costs. Again, not sure how much this has changed in the last 5 years.

Since this rolled out has anyone else had issues with crashing on full capacity grids? Since this release anytime I try to launch a race with a full grid, immediately after the loading screen it crashes back to the race setup menu. I never had this problem before even with full grids so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue.
