    Nice.

Things just keep getting better and better.

What’s with asking for down votes? trying to start a new trend? 🙂

      • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

        My own trend 🙂

  • Anonymous

Amazing. I was just thinking about drag racing these days. No pure drag sim on pc at all. And moment ago I saw this article, nice! It was about time.

  • Humberto Roca

It gets better and better but it gets longer and longer too.

  • Anonymous

    Interesting addition.

Does that mean high speed oval and handling/wet track.

    • Anonymous

No, it means drag racing. 😉

Watch them post some screenies for Rally Racing next!

    • Pvt Stash

Lol, why all of a sudden does images of the rf hydroplane mod appear before my eyes…

  • Daniel Montes

better have some Funny Cars & Dragsters and prostocks lol!! @NHRA.com

  • Matt Orr

oooookay, this is getting slightly silly at this point.

  • http://twitter.com/TheRoggan Roger

Cool! This cannot be a very large addition technically but surely provides more benchmarking and depth to the simulation!

Rally cars and tracks would be awesome, with AC physics and tire model this could really be a true successor to RBR. Though to get AC released within reasonable time I would vote for Rally as a “DLC” or addon with cars and tracks to be purchased separately later on.

That acceleration g-force was so harsh it was pushing the autofocus out of alignment lol.

Drag racing doesn’t interest me personally, i’m sorry to say.

    • Bee’s knees

What an incredibly selfish comment. Drag racing does not interest me as well, but unlike you, I’m happy for drag racing fans because they are getting something that they like.

      • C4

Where did he say he’s “not happy”? 😉

      • Anonymous

Nah.. he was being selfish if he says something like “please don’t include drag racing, It doesn’t interest me” ur too sensitive ;D

  • http://twitter.com/WallyMasterson Wally Masterson

I wouldn’t think it too hard to add a drag racing mode to a sim engine, so hopefully it wouldn’t add much to the development time.

  • Joco Gorenc

Why all these negative comments??? It will be super cool to drag race cars like Zonda using clutch and stick shifter. GO KUNOS!!!

    • StarFoxySxv550

yup, Can’t wait to see what the modding community does with this. Well I kinda already know i.e http://www.dragfactor.net/

If AC supports staging, and everything else drag racing this could be epic news for drag racing fans.

    • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

      Agreed.

    • Anonymous

Well I think it really opens up the possibility of modded top fuel dragsters and funny cars!

  • Tomasz Zabłocki

Where are the tanned chicks ? Shift had them and it’s an old game for heavens sake.

Well, I’m not holding my breath anyway, after watching numerous updates to nkPro I’am not expecting to see a single half-decent boob here.

Sorry Kunos, but for a self respecting simracer no tits = no buy. BTW what’s the point of a new directx 11 engine, if there’s no properly tesselated, subsurface scattered piece of rack out there ?

    • GamerMuscle

Don’t lie , when you want to become aroused when driving you just use track IR to look down.

      • Tomasz Zabłocki

As difficult as it is, I’m not going to deny the truth.

Honestly though, what’s wrong in enjoying a ‘rig’ upgrade ?

      • Realkman666

Fake tits are better because they are bigger.

      • gt3rsr

        omfg

      • Hugo Stiglitz

Absolute nonsense. First of all, they’re not bigger, and if they are they’re probably ugly. Second of all, I can tell you’ve never played with big fake and real tits. There’s no comparison. Fake tits are hard, not nice to play with, and they look unnatural. Real tits are soft, endless fun to play with and they look better.

Compare Keeley Hazell’s tits to pam andersons and try saying that real tits aren’t better. Or try Maria Swan vs any pair of fake ones. Real > Fake

      • Realkman666

I clearly wasn’t taking the piss out of the morons above…

    • Professional Operator

LOLWUT? Complaining because of the lack of girls in a racing game? Go find one in real life instead !!!

  • Racing jason

Absolutely appreciated game mode….it really rounds the AC experience perfectly! Thumbs up kunos!!!

  • Anonymous

Looking forward to playing this game! 2014 can’t get here soon enough!

    • Realkman666

      XD

    • Anonymous

Yes this will be a great title but I still believe pCARS will beat it in gaming awards voting. I too very much look forward to it’s full release.

  • Hugo Stiglitz

Honestly I couldn’t care less but if implemented correctly it might be cool. Eitherway, I think drag racing is really boring.

  • Mark Quigley

I am disappointed this update is not about dressing up in lady clothes with other fat/bearded/balding/middleaged men and engaging in a race.

    • Mark Quigley

      Pfft, down voted.

You just never seen me in heels, miniskirt and a low cut blouse!

  • Damys scaglietti

amazing !!!!!!!!! i ‘m a drag racer in rfactor.. from now also in AC : D

  • Juhan Voolaid

Why waist time on this? Suddenly they want to appeal to wider audience?

    • http://twitter.com/Pascalwb Pascal

Yop, better they release game only with circuit racing, few tracks and cars and then add in update this things.

      • GamerMuscle

Personally I don’t care for drag racing but its the sort of thing that will give the game a wider appeal than other simulators , given that there are no games that do drag racing to a high standard right now , think how many drag racing fans there are that might get AC just for this.

Look at LFS even though its mostly dead the “live to cruse” servers on that are often full and that keeps parts of the multi player quite active.

Anything that gets more sales and more users is good so long as they keep the core physics solid.

I’d happily put up with 6 months delay if it means the game will likely sell a good deal more copies giving us more people on-line to race with.

Mind you I’m probably like you In that I’d be happy with kunos physics ,a couple of tracks , 2-4 fast cars , solid net-code and open modding.

      • Anonymous

Well I do like the idea of bringing back one of the old drag racing titles and bringing it up to todays standards and offering it at an appealing price. I don’t think Drag Racing titles are a top price genre of racing title but still if affordable may get the needed attention to make one profitable. Just like titles like Dirt Track Racing 2 focusing on Dirt Oval in a modern day software. Also another good old title was Nascar Heat but profit is difficult anymore with Nascar or F1 game titles with license costs the way they are.

      • Anonymous

Oh and not to be forgotten a real simulation version of Monster Jam would be cool as well

  • SL1DE

Please have burnouts and reaction times. 😀

  • pay2021

Why so much whining? Drag racing is the car and straight track, no need to make different physics or “crazy things” outside the simulation camp.

  • Anonymous

Any idea in which quarter of this year this will get released? The wait is killing me!
