Yako has released a new version of XD, a tool that adds lots of useful information to the HUD of racing simulations like GTR2 & GTR Evolution.
XD displays all kinds of valuable data including temperatures, wear and advanced timing information. The displayed data can be customized as you wish as the tool includes a well documented .ini file with plenty of variables.
The new version comes with support for the newest RACE07 version as well as experimental support for rFactor.

Great plugin but has one HUGE downside. The default positioning blocks where the flags appear. A friend of mine got DQ’ed in GTL for not taking a stop and go penalty he didn’t even know he had because the overlay covered the flag.

I’m sick and tired of TV-Style. Looking forward to non-experimental support for RF.

Is there a chance to change the positioning?

Yes cool stuff, but ini with some customizabilty might be good idea.
Look forward to working with this in rfactor, as said TV style is old, and cumbersome…lost count of how many races I messed up cos i pressed something on numpad and cam went to other car….

Always loved this feature for GTR2. Wish someone would make one for rfactor.

I have never used TV style plug in so i am not sure if thats your problem..
I have attached a screen of where the .dll file should be placed.. it is the highlighted one..

first off i have never used the TV style plug in so it may be this..
But the .dll file requires that you have the DirectX 9c.. its a must for thsi to work..
I would suggest trying a seperate install of rFactor .
Question.. did it ask you overwrite a file with you droped the file into the rFactor folder??? if it did then this is your problem you have another plugin that is conflicting with it..

tried all that and removed everything else that might conflict with it and it still isn’t working. Could it be something to do with Vista?

Ya, experiment seems to be a failure. Doesn’t work at all in any of my rFactor installs–it literally will not allow rfactor.exe to load. You click on it, and it doesn’t even show up in the task manager. Take the dll file back out, and it loads immediately.

Awesome. Tells you a load of crap you don’t need to know and the only downside is that it slows your framerate to a crawl.
