    multiple controller support this time??

What a input lag..Hope that`ll be fixed in the final version.

Stages are to short…… The rest seems to be fine

I don’t think that is input lag really. If you look closely when Shaun turns wheel more than 90° in game wheel stops at 90°. So I would say that this is difference between input rotation and rotation of in game wheel. In other words: in game wheel turns less than controller

Huge input lag and tragical engine sounds …

In contradiction of the F1 games these actually improve. Car handling and tracks seem to be getting much better, as well as the graphics. Tracks are short and handling is simplified to attract the larger amount of buyers

The sound is really really bad :S near a game from 80s, why the sound is the big forgotten in most games!? is a really im,portant thing and a must in simracing. And looks arcade, yep, better than the other WRC, but arcade. The Stages are OK narrow, and good graphic level.

It doesn’t look so bad… I wonder about the input lag… is there such delay in real life or does it appear so bad just in the video? The sounds are quite bad too, maybe even worse than in RBR… otherwise handling seems quite well done. Still probably not a successor of RBR – which is a shame (after 8 years!!!).

I’m seeing nothing in these videos that is going to make this a must-have purchase.

I notice in between stages you have an allotted time to do repairs and have to choose what to fix. Pretty cool feature.
At least it looks like a better rally game than Dirt.

  • Marco Conti

    Yes, what about that? Shaun?

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

That is a nice feature. Wasn’t it in a previous rally sim ?

  • gt3rsr

I suppose Shaun is not entitled to comment anything about the game… yet.

  • gt3rsr

DIRT was a rally game? Uh… didn’t notice that!

If you look hard you can find a bit of rally, it’s hidden behind the gymkhana crap :P

I think that input lag isn’t as huge as it look like, the camera & the LCD TV should distort a lot.

Well, I have to say I’m impressed with what I see, this definitely has potential to be fun (and the only rally game I will have purchased since RBR). The graphics aren’t ground-breaking but they are more than adequate, and obviously aren’t finished (you can see the headlights through the scenery as the car rounds a bend), and in every video people make it clear the sounds aren’t finished, and the only sounds we’ve heard so far are from the engine so I think it’s safe to assume they are place holders, hopefully.
What I do like is how narrow the stages are now, looks like much more of a challenge, more fun and like a real stage than the previous two games. The input lag? well if everything else falls into place I’ll take the risk and purchase to find out for myself. I do hope they listen to the multiple controller cries, the same as they listened to the “Narrow the track” cries.
It might not be a RBR, but for sure this is probably the closest thing we’ll see for a while. I wish milestone all the best for this new game engine, and also look forward to seeing it being put to use in the SBK games.

    I have to agree Tamas..

22:29 is the best part of this video

  • Big Ron

    Three things which bother me:

    - the visual input lag
    - the sound which hopefully will be different at release
    - the drift behavior on tarmac seems to be strange (the car often swings with the rear like floating and in hairpins the car makes immediately 180-turns)

Other than that it looks pretty neat, especially the tight stages.

They say the sound is still WIP, i mean, listen to those gaps between revs, they are too big!!… So we have to wait for another trailer with final sounds!
