looking forward for the 2 edition, I hope they put cars like, Corvette c6r, Porsche gt1, McLaren F1 GTR, Lamborghini Diablo GT, Ferrari F40LM. Great job, well well done, 5 stars mod. thank you guys for this best mod.

I wish i could download this great mod but Filefront dosent work for me-Is there any where else i can get it Don’t know how to use zoot.thanks

Hi mrs1986,

your graphic card doesnt support 4096×4096 textures. If you have Photoshop or something similar, you can resize textures to 2048×2048 and save them as DXT1 without mipmaps and without alpha. Then it should work. With huge quality loss of course.

at high speed the direction of the car becomes loose and the steering wheel is heading right then left then right big times.. dunno if it’s only me but it seem correct with normal gtr2 lineup cars.

ps: i love the mcf1 longtail’s cockpit great job guys and the showroom is awesome.

we have gone through all forums and read hundreds of messages. Regarding the physics we found that opinions vary. We do know that some cars are not ” easy ” and have to be learned. The FXX seems to be a frustrating drive for some and the fun Walhalla for others. note that we did not try to get the cars competitive . that was not the aim . giving the FXX GT1 grip would generate the same amount of criticism because the streetcar would then blow away all the gt cars. it is in real life a overpowered rich mans toy . we never drove one, but on the videos we can see its a handful when pushed . the discussions will go on forever i guess, because that’s the way it goes ever since sim racers and forums came to life. so we decided to just see who can tame the baby’s . we already received some awesome race video’s proving the handling is ok in the hands of some serious simracers . so i guess the rest of us should at least try do put in a good lap. you will have a blast , believe me.

The dbrs9 handling was criticised by an early poster. Motorsport magazine in the UK drove these cars and the N24 in a group test at Ricard last year. Curiously enough the test driver loved the N24 and the DBR9, he pronounced both of them very forgiving. The DBR9 he singled out for special comment as he couldn’t believe how easy the car was to drive relatively quickly (which bears out what some about GTR2 GT1 physics).

Oddly enough it was the DBRS9 GT3 car which put the fear in him for all of the reasons given – scary brakes and low speed characteristics. The driver concerned has historic F1 experience and believed the DBRS9 to be one of the most difficult cars that he’s ever driven.

I haven’t tried anything but the Astons yet, but I believe they’ve got it right or thereabouts.

Fantastic cars! Great job, and thank you very much. I noticed one thing. My cars shadow looks jagged from swingman view, but in replay its very smooth. I have my video for shadow and shadow quality set to max. And I have vsync locked at 60fps, which it never drops below. Just the shadow on my car looks very jagged. Anyone else notice this? Thanks in advance.

Well done guys ! I got up extra early this morning to give it a try in Ohio with the DBR9S and the McLaren in Spa.
Great cars! I love the sound and the gloves are pretty cool !

Just point installer to your GTR2 root folder(x:\GTR2 or x:\Program Files\GTR2)

There’s no new icon, enter the game than go to open practice or whatever and cycle classes. Than you will see WSGT class(two of them to be exact). Choose car/track and drive.
