World Super GT – GTR Evolution Conversion Files

Back in September 2008, Team RMT released their stunning World Super GT mod for GTR2, bringing several legendary GT cars to the simulation. After the team decided to stop working on a planned rFactor version in favor of their World Super GT 2 project, the lookout for a team that would finish the conversion began.

But while Team RMT was searching for someone to do the job, several people started unauthorised and rushed conversions and spread them across the web without permission. The team has now responded to the issue, offering one of those unfinished conversions for GTR Evolution for public download, hoping that a talented modder or modding team finishes up the work.

Team RMT is giving every modder automatic permission to work on this as long as several rules are followed. The original credits and disclaimer have to be included in the mod, the original models can’t be modified or used in any third party mod and none of the content can be used in any commercial way.

Follow the link below to download the conversion files and the full rules, please make sure to comply with the team’s wishes and rules.

Important: The download is not meant to be a finished mod for public usage but a starting point for a proper conversion.

    I am looking forward to seeing what is produced from this. I am a massive fan of prototypes.
    I checked out the files and there is a lot of cars included, a great selection.

    It is because someone in the community violated the rule and released an unfinished GTRE version of the mod.

    Heh, miscomprehension there Crobol.

    But it raises a good point. If you can do this with GTRevo Arnold, could the team not release the unfinished rFactor files, and let the community have a go at it?

    I can think of many people who would be queuing up if this was done to their rF files. There are alot of people in the community who didn’t apply to your rFactor pledge, maybe because they didn’t think themselves skilled enough. If it was an open project, I can see people like that making small contributions etc. It all adds up.

    I may announce that in the future, actually I planned to have a v1.1 patch for the GTR2 version too(with WSGT2 style physics).

    Also, there is a chance for the whole community to have a WSGT2 demo on rFactor in the near future(I know it’s a hard time to wait for that amount of GT cars=P, so maybe 1 or 2 as the tryout would be worth for playing while waiting for the whole thing), but let’s see if I have enough free time to do it.

    love your guys work wsgt1 was amazing and i hope someone will finish the conversion with the level of perfectionism it deserves.

    Am I the only one who is amused by the fact that from all those people who convert things when modders don’t want them them to, nobody even seeks to convert this for rfactor? That gives them a little merit because they always used to say that conversions aren’t easy as well :sd:

    So it would be happy news to see the team complete the conversion on their own, though I don’t blame them that they have better things to do, like creating new stuff.

    i”ve installed this MOD into GTR evo, but can”t play. Multibump problem. crash game… can somebody tell me how to repare this problem? thanx.
