Team RMT is calling out for help with their World Super GT Mod for rFactor conversion. Initially released for GTR2, the team planned to release a brushed-up conversion for rFactor.
Now that the work on World Super GT 2 is already in full swing and one of the team’s key members has landed a job in the commercial gaming industry, the team is looking for some help to get the rFactor conversion finished. The conversion is currently stuck at about 80%, remaining task includes lod & physics work as well as mapping and texturing of new rims that have been started.

I think at a push, I would be able to texture the wheels, but I’ve not done it before, it would be a bit hit and miss. Sorting teh LOD’s would be the thing…

the LODs are done, just some of them aren’t ingame.
At the moment, I am extremely busy with my daily life, and would rather spend my free time on the WSGT2 development(I have to build all the 14 cars, and now, it’s just the 8th car).
And we are an even smaller team than before(Something like 6 or 7 people). So we must cut our resources on the WSGT1.

Delay starting a job just to finish a port of a free mod? I don’t think anyone can hold taking paying work over working for free against the guy..

To make things clear. RMT fully supported the migration of our member to the commercial world. We did and still have the support of him. When a member is able to make a living out of his beloved hobby, then that should be supported at all times. RMT is a team , but first and all a bond of friends. Modding is a hobby and should never get priority over ones private life.

I think this is a good sign. It looked like we won’t see the WSGT till rF2. But now we at least know it’s not dead and we know what the problem is and some of us can even help.

The WSGT won’t be released for rF2, but WSGT2 instend, so that’s why we need help now, as we would like to finish the mod as soon as possible(something like a little while after the release of rF2?I hope that too.)

He deserves one that’s for sure but for now he’ss till on the team for 100%. It’s someone else who left.
I’ve got quite a number of emails now from people who want to help us out. The amount of response really showed me that the simracing scene is still a great community. I’ll go over the emails with my team members and if we think you can help us out, you’ll hear from us soon.
