RMT’s freshly modelled Nissan Syline R33 GT-R joins the other finished WSGT 2 models as Arnold Wong has brought the Super GT car to the track.
Below are first previews of the car as well as one high resolution render of the Japanese race car.
Successor to World Super GT for GTR 2 (and soon rFactor), World Super GT 2 will feature legendary GT cars from the 90s as well as Super GT GT500 class machinery, the mod will be released for an upcoming next-gen simulation.

Just to clarify, this is the Le Mans version of the R33 as seen in the 1996 edition of the 24 hours race.

That model just doesn’t look all that great IMO. Might be because it’s all one colour. I like the Skyline but that just looks… Dull and lifeless.

That is the colour. I have a quad core brain, and it looks really good with a decent livery when I imagined it.

Damn, what’s that “next-gen” simulation???
rFactor2 won’t be next gen, we already know it won’t feature DX10 and won’t be a visual revolution, as the team is focusing on other features such as weather, new structure and so on.
Next addon for Race’07 won’t be Lizard engined, so not a next gen either.
Next gen games that are announced do not seem to be simulators at all, so I’m really wondering !!!

It was explained in the comments here:
http://www.virtualr.net/world-super-gt-2-mclaren-template-preview/#comments
The mod won’t be released before 2010 and the team does not know what simulation will be the best modding platform then. Don’t take the next-gen so serious, it’s not just about graphics.
Just an example: rfactor 2 will be released at least four years after its predecessor. Nobody knows what features will be included yet but it will be a vast improvement for sure. Enough to consider it next-gen in terms of simulation.
Same goes for an upcoming Lizard title for the PC….that may have not been announced yet but it’s a long way until WSGT 2 is done anyways.

Well, I’ve read this interview of Gjon about rFactor2, and it does not seem to be that much of a revolution:

Next-Gen is, as far as i know, about looks, right?
