As stated before. It does not really matter what,if,when or how a new platform release would be. We can easily dump the mod in just about any sim we want. rF2 just happens to be our choice. It makes perfect sense. We want the mod to be released on a “next gen mod platform”. rF2 is the only announced native modding platform at this time. We have no urge to release the mod on GTR2,Evo or the likes. We would like to release on a platform that uses Dynamic lighting and dynamic reflections.Further more it has to be a platform with a longer lifespan. Incidentaly we will have a rF1 release when the mod is finished, because we use the rF1 engine as a test platform.
As far as Simbin is concerned, there is no mention of their Lizzard engine at this time. It would most likely also be encrypted, showing us that the producers do not really want their product modded. In my opinion ( and i speak for myself ) that will be the major reason why titles like Race and EVO will fade away pretty rappidly. So after looking at all options, rF2 is the holy grail for a serious modder. The old Gmotor2 enging has proved its class and style. did we not all love it for years ? But i guess , now its time has come. The plans we have for the WSGT2 surpasses the limits of the Gmotor2 Engine. So we just have to do the same as all of you… Wait for rF2 to appear. In the meantime we continue using rF1 as a test platform to keep on working on the mod and supply you with a free beauty when its finally released.

To my understanding they stated that most content for rF1 would be compatible for rF2. Should be somewhere on the rF2 twitter page.

I don’t fully understand their plan to release this for rF2. I mean unless they have some inside information (or I’ve missed some public announcements) they have no way of being certain about:

-if/when rFactor 2 will be released, AFAIK nothing specific has been stated and very little has been shown

-if cars & tracks from rF one will be compatible with rF 2

It would make sense for ISI to make migration as easy as possible but I wouldn’t bet on it without knowing anything in advance.

Its the old version Zen, RF1. Dont think anybody outside ISI has got RF2 program yet.
