World Super GT 2 – New Sound Test Video

Team RMT has released a new preview video of their World Super GT 2 mod for rFactor 2, letting us enjoy the progressing sounds of the Corvette C6.R and other cars.

While Arnold Wong, Wix and the others are working in the eye-candy department, Thinlane-T is working on the sounds. As you can hear in the video below, he’s making quite some progress and despite containing no ambiance, skidding or tire effects yet, the results are already pretty impressive.

Successor to World Super GT for GTR 2, World Super GT 2 will bring some of of the most legendary GT cars of the 90s as well as Super GT GT500 class machinery to rFactor 2.

    Corvette sounds brilliant. I agree with Rooster, gear changes need to be louder. WSGT2 is shaping up nicely.

    I think they have captured the essence of what’s going on. Even among racecars C6.Rs are deafening. If your foot is so much as resting on the throttle, the only thing you’re liable to hear above a cantankerous V8 is wind turbulence.  I doubt you will recognize detail (like grinding gears, squealing tires, and other racecars) until you lift off the throttle.

    I’ve heard the C6R IRL and the exterior sound comes very very very close :) .

    Sounds fantastic, the only mild criticism I can think of is that everything seems a little quiet. Might just be me not turning up my speakers enough, but the higher pitched engines sound slightly suppressed. One of the reasons I’m such a fan of wolferl’s work is because it’s so raw.

    I think it’s just a matter of personal preference though and there’s no doubt that the quality of work here is extremely high.

    Jeez guys, the more I look at your screenshots/clips the more I wonder how it is possible to achieve this level of detail… you are light years ahead. Brilliant!

    IMO if the sound samples are louder, then you get too much distortion. It’s better to turn your speakers up, than having overdistorted sounds. Too many mods are going this way to get a raw sound, but i think, it’s the wrong way.

    But yes …. it’s a matter of personal preference.  ;)

    idk, the internals are OK. all cars on rfactor of the type seems to have the sound kind of sound.

    externals are amazing.
