F1Racer has been given the chance to make some impressive high resolution renders of the Renault Megane Trophy car, part of Team RMT’s World Super GT 2 mod for rFactor 2.
The car will serve both as the mod’s safety car as well as a bonus car among the other GT machinery, a full set of 2009 Megane Trophy liveries will be included.
Successor to World Super GT for GTR 2, World Super GT 2 will bring some of of the most legendary GT cars of the 90s as well as Super GT GT500 class machinery to rFactor 2.

RacingRenders.com renders always look just a tad cartoony. I think it’s mostly due to the reflections. But they are still nice to look at.

Its my studio environment setup TeroD. It produces some sharp reflections.
With an outdoor scene this wouldnt be the same.
Also on these renders, they were post-sharpened for extra clarity as I was not happy with Lightwave’s raw output.
I do think its far from cartoony though. They just have tight edges on the lighting. If I blurred the car reflections it might ease this but the extra rendering time need to calculate blurred reflections are not worth the trade off for me.
