World Super GT 2 – First rFactor 2 Previews

For more than two years, Team RMT has been working on their World Super GT 2 mod for rFactor 2 with the title not even available.

Now that the rFactor 2 open beta is available, the team had the first chance to try out their content in the environment it was designed for.

Below are first in-game previews in rFactor 2, showing the semi-fictional Aston Martin One-77 GT500 in the simulation’s show room.

Successor to World Super GT for GTR 2, World Super GT 2 will bring some of of the most legendary GT cars of the 90s as well as Super GT GT500 class machinery to rFactor 2.

    Outstanding work.

I’d say Christmas has come early for Team RMT, but… Doesn’t really seem appropriate in January. :P

HELL YEAH! Super excite for Super GT!

Most of current, and even older rfactor mods would look even better in rfactor2. And with improved physics, thanks to the new engine!

Yay, one of my favorite mods of all time is coming our way, woohoo :D

This is going to be epic for GT sim racers !

  • Anonymous

Yeah this is THE one. The main reason i bought rF2

    *droool*

  • http://www.facebook.com/laurent.cortier Laurent Cortier

I wonder if we’ll see mass conversions of the rF1 mods…

  • vitor silva

    for sure a inspiration!

  • Anonymous

Me too. One of the reasons for it is the presence of 90′s GT cars like Ferrari F40 GTE, Mercedes CLK GTR and Porsche 911 GT1.  They look great already, when RMT release shots of those rides with rf2, will be ***** epic.

2009 ? Hihihih wow, we’ve been expecting that for a long time now…

But I’m positively sure it will be every bit as good as I dreamed it…

That’s what happens when people have passion !

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000119964258 Tomas Beha

That will very lightly happen, I just hope that time will be spend on actually using the new features and not the least, new physics.

I hope so. I downloaded the Seat Leon TDI and Dodge SRT4 road car mods and I love them. I like to be able to take the road cars as well as race cars on the track. I would also love to see the 1974 Nordschliefe converted to rFactor 2 too.

Team RMT will save failed release of RFactor 2 “beta version”. Team RMT will publish a better result than official products from ISI. What irony!
I am agree with everybody, team RMT does a great job.

Please Laurent Cortier: don’t comment on what I answer. You post at least 15 comments per article. I like when you say “get a life!” You!, get a life…, and stop pollute all articles…

  • Noel Hibbard

Could you fill us in on what is failed about the release? I feel it is far from a fail.

  • http://twitter.com/klaasvh Klaas van Houten

If it was a failed release we wouldn’t be modding it. It doesn’t needs saving either. As for your irony, I don’t see it as same thing happened for rF1 so that’s nothing new.
And personally I’d rather have Laurent post in article about our cars than you :)

  • http://twitter.com/klaasvh Klaas van Houten

I expect a lot of half-finished conversions because every modder wants to be first.

Hello Theroro29, whaat’s happening.. I’m gonna need you to go ahead and uhmm…. learn to write properly… yeeah that would be great.

It’s funny you call it “beta version” like it was a bad thing when in reality it is a beta, and as such it is to be expected to not be tip-top!

  • rui silva

failed release !?!?!?!? What kind of rock do you live under my friend ?? the Sim hasnt been released yet its a beta version, grant you one has to pay for it but still its a beta, so i dont understand ur beef with it.

What a great looking car, awesome job RMT,  thanks and keep up the great work.

  • Juhan Voolaid

This car has been on my desktop for half a year alraeady. Can’t wait to take it for a spin :)

  • Anonymous

    Car looks great, as always.

But it has to go into something….which is where ISI come in.   They produce the game engine that enables this car (and all the others hopefully on their way) to be added, and raced online etc, with weather, and blah blah blah.   Only a fool could fail to recognise ISI’s contribution there, even if that was all ISI were doing.

Clearly, if there’s a single over-riding gripe about rF2 so far it’s about the gfx – they aren’t “shiny” enough.  Well, facts are that

    1) post-fx have not been finished (more is coming)
    2) development on rF2 is supposed to be ongoing, so if we (politely) keep asking ISI for more on the visual front we might well get it.

    This makes sense because
    3) visuals are not *the* USP of driving sims.  [At least not for proper sims, only for teams led by marketing - gfx are easy to sell, physics less so.] Visuals can be worked upon in coming months, but the priorities are physics, multiplayer, AI, etc.  This is all being tested in the wild right now.

    Patience, children?

Yeah. RMT’s F40 is the best one i’ve seen in mods. can’t wait to see it and drive it on rf2.

I don’t have any talent or knowledge whatsoever on 3D modelling/modding, so I beg to all modders.. make a 1998 Lamborghini Diablo SV for GTR3/RF2! I would pay for it! :D

    Failed release my ‘arris
You are a clown. You do realise this dont you :-)

Fook knows why you are always bellyaching about a product you hate so much. Normal people wouldn’t be bothering visiting a website of summat they hate so much. You’re a few sarnies short of a full picnic basket methinks.

actually I think it’s a bit messy………I prefer the old format………….the tools aren’t not fully debugged and I think it would be much better if we can rewrite some custom shaders for our mod, to increase the performance………………….but still I figured out how the whole thing works in this afternoon with the bugs fixed now after discussing a bit with Ash from FSONE team, I will upload some on track screenshots tonight, and keep working on this test mule to explore what rf2 can do

  • http://twitter.com/__Banga__ * LeazesNDR *

Hahahaha, mod developers making daft critics look stupid. Love it!

Same for me but the Honda

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000119964258 Tomas Beha

    Agreed, but “dislike” :P

  • http://www.facebook.com/laurent.cortier Laurent Cortier

Thanks Arnold… You guys rule !
Do you have intentions of releasing under the beta or will you wait for the official release ?

  • http://www.facebook.com/ArnoldCarterWong Arnold Carter Kingpong Wong

I think it’s better for a completed product

  • Anonymous

that car needs a bigger rear wing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/laurent.cortier Laurent Cortier

Aaarg, 6 more months to wait… I can’t imagine what you guys will be able to do in 6 months time with the sim.

We’ll be patient… Don’t hesitate to give some updates on your WIP and tease us a little ;)

Saw this over at the ISI forums…..very nice :)
