Team RMT’s Arnold Wong continues to impress with very detailed cockpit models for the team’s World Super GT 2 mod for rFactor 2, as a newly-released render shows us the inside of the Mercedes CLK-GTR.
Powered by a six-liter V12 engine, the CLK-GTR was Mercedes’ weapon of choice during the 1997 FIA GT championship, the German manufacturer managed to clinch both the drivers and manufacturers title.
Successor to World Super GT for GTR 2, World Super GT 2 will bring some of of the most legendary GT cars of the 90s as well as Super GT GT500 class machinery to rFactor 2.

Sure beats no previews. And its not their fault ISI havent set a release date or even a solid timeframe for rF2 release.
The detail in that cockpit is completely insane btw

At this time it does perform better then your average GTR2 setup. So i dont think it will need a super PC by the time rF2 will be out. Its not a mod to try and run on your average office PC, or one of those cheap retail chain PC´s. we admit that. but then again, you dont purchase a Nissan Micra to pull a double axle trailer dont you think? . nobody is waiting for a next gen mod , that looks the same as what we are running now. At this moment we are running +-350 FPS full detail , 16 cars on track on a AMD Phenom2 X4 + Geforce GTX285 in Full HD (1920*1200) AA4x. So if by the time rF2 comes out , you PC is anything less, you will just need to get the detail down, or start collecting stamps.
Look at the new first Person Shooter releases. I see no one complaining there, as far as the need for a high performance PC goes. Once again it seems allot of Simracers could start a pessimist club. If we follow the commercial company´s , we could even go higher as far as specs are concerned. Remember the PC you needed to run GTR2 in full detail when it came out ?? So i think we are even below the level of detail at the moment. we could push it even some more.
So now you know what to get for Xmass .. anything above a GTX275 will do. Thats a 200 euro graphics card. If that is to much , i would start thinking about a new hobby.

I love the detail in your models and I couldn’t care less if it happens to require more out of our computers. This is how it should be with pc games, steadily progressing forward. I hope more mod groups and track makers will rise to this level when rF2 is coming.

So many people complain about the lack of detail in some games and mods etc and yet here’s a team working on a piece of automotive art for a future gaming title and they get slated for it
The models look supreme and the cockpits look so good I think I’ll spend a lot of time sitting in the pits just looking around the inside of the car
.
It has been quite something watching Arnolds developement in his modelling skills to get to this level.

Kind of hard to give a release date when rFactor2 hasn’t been released yet.
