World Super GT 2 – First Honda HSV 010 In-Game Previews

Team RMT has released a studio render and first in-game previews of the freshly-modelled Honda HSV 010 Super GT car for their World Super GT 2 mod for rFactor 2, showing it with some basic textures in rFactor.

The HSV 010 will make it’s Super GT debut in 2010, replacing Honda’s aging NSX model in their fight against Nissan and Lexus for the series title. The car is powered by a 3.4 liter V8 engine, putting out about 500hp and 400nm of torque. Unlike other Super GT cars, the HSV 010 is not based on a road-going model but a pure purpose-built prototype race car.

Successor to World Super GT for GTR 2, World Super GT 2 will bring some of of the most legendary GT cars of the 90s as well as Super GT GT500 class machinery to rFactor 2.

    the only people that can match GT5 skills when it comes to graphics is Team RMT :tongue: and PD has spent over U$ 200 million in GT5 I know it’s over 1000 cars but still!

    If this mod is being tested in rF why not release it in rF, then update when rF2 is released.Just seems a bit of a waste to me.

    Nice car model but too much black. In a day light environment you have never got so dark blacks. The balcks goes to very deep shadows. Perhaps it’s going to be coped by an engine in rf2, I don’t know, but I would make the skin a bit less dark.

    vik15: the skin in this stage is not a vital element. the car has no template yet, and has no details. thats the second part of the model. Model -> template -> Textures -> Sounds -> Physics -> Beta -> Final cleanup. Textures should be ready next week. first update will be the Toyota Cockpit ingame.

    Dont Worry. We would not let it come to that. But think.. its still a whole lot of work before we get to the Beta stage. So lets evaluate the situation when we are there.

    This will only be for rf2? or will you be releasing for rF?

    for now it will be rF2. However, since we dont have a real forecast on the rF2 release, things might change at a certain point. We are looking at other possibility´s ( there are even a few surprising possibilities :-)) Depending on the future plans of Simbin we might even have a look at that. Arnold is even taking it slightly further then that, and is experimenting with different game engines.
    But as i said.. its all just brainstorming. For now it will be rF2. Once ISI lets us know a bit more about the features, modding support and release schedules, we can make a definate choice. An rF1 release is almost certain, because the entire alpha test stage is done on rF1. But keep in mind, that under normal circumstances it would not be before the rF2 release. As usual We (RMT) deside everything within the Core of the team.for now that means that Klaas, Arnold , Thinlane and myself have to agree what path to follow before we make definate choices..
