I would like to be KRP full title first O:-) …

  • gt3rsr

Nice, but considering you can buy netKar Pro for 15 euros… on the other hand I am quite interested in GP Bikes, cos it’s probably the only hardcore bike racing sim on the market.

  • Juhan Voolaid

I’m a barbie girl, in my barbie woooorld … too cartoony.

It is amazing work for a small company to make such a sim, but if it is not better than rF2 or pCars, what is the point?

Somebody should make a rally sim. It should not be hard to beat a game from 2004 (RBR).

  • noro ardanto

+1 sim world really need a successor to RBR
Btw keep on going PiBoSo! I will try the beta and 20euro for two games is quite acceptable I guess.. (depends on the quality of the final version of the games off course)

Maybe you are a bit too negative but basically I agree with you, there is NO point in developing yet another circuit simulator by a small team when there are many big players in that field now. It has no chance on success basically. But rally… we want RBR successor, even if it looks bad graphically, please!!

  • Alejandro Gorgal

Has anyone tried this game yet? Im curious to try it, how’s the tyre model like?

  • Kevin West

How about some constructive criticism, rather than just plain criticism? What is it about this sim that is “cartoony”? Is it physics or graphics? tracks, cars, lighting, or all, maybe something else? The point in developing another sim is just because you can. And if you can, then why not? This sim has features that other sims do not. i.e. fully dynamic rubber groove, drying line and marbles generation (rFactor 2 has a predetermined groove that only change with time/number of laps driven). Marbles pickup and grass/dirt is also featured. Neither rFactor 2 or Project Cars has that (from what I’ve seen). There are also more features that World Racing Series has that others don’t. That doesn’t necessarily make it better, but certainly worth having a look. I suggest you try the demo if you haven’t already. The screenshots and video don’t do it justice.

I have already got myself the full version, have spent many hours playing it already and am enjoying it a lot! Thanks heaps PiBoSo!

”- automotive industry-standard tyre model” This is the Pacejka tyre model, as seen previously in iRacing (I think, before the new tyre model), Racer, and more.

But comon, you don’t believe things like that are going to make it a hit. I can’t help it, no point of this sim.

  • Swordand Keyboard

     your clueless.

  • Swordand Keyboard

moronic and rude people below this is for you… people saying there is no point for someone making a game.
Some one making a game or new company they need to start somewhere, but I guess there are people that lack how things get done in life.  There would be no Pepsi company if pepsi just sat there and went, oh coke is so good why bother. Instead they build a multi billion dollar business.

Amazing…  ”why ”  has to actually be spelled out to you even, Maybe use head for something other to hang to a hat on.

If they were like you they would be just sitting home whining like little puppets. Carry on.

Just done a few laps on it… seems good so far! Here’s hoping for a LFS spiritual sucessor.

  • http://www.facebook.com/vinhomm Vinicius Matheus

The FFB is a bit bland but seems to be tottaly physics-based

Thank you PiBoS, I will try the Demo this weekend as it looks very interesting.

We’ll see few years from now… I bet 100$ nobody will care about this.

  • Skytrill .

I tried World Racing Series something like 2 years ago and was already blown away by the way the F2000 handles. I’m gonna give it another spin.

I don’t believe it’s a LFS successor with 4 cars, but he sure knows how to make it feels right unlike some other project and this is what SIMULATIONS are all about.

You’re acting completely moronic, ignorant and rude. Keep your opinions to yourself and everyone will be quite happy… jesus wept.

  • jswarthoff

well i tried it out and I have to say, its simply great, it takes second spot after netkarpro imo :)

  • Alejandro Gorgal

Gave the demo a go. I think so far it’s pretty good. The physics reminds me a lot to NKPro, there’s zero input lag and as it was mentioned in another comment the FFB is a bit dead but seems to be connected to the tyre model so when you do feel it it’s pretty good.
Not sure Im going to get into this right now, but considering you also get a license for their bike sim I would say it’s a great deal, I’ll make sure to get once it goes gold.

  • Sean Smith

At-least he produced something , and without stealing peoples money. Which is a positive sign.

  • Kevin West

It was supposed to be a reply to the comment below :) Nothing wrong with an older tyre model. It can be just as good as newer ones when tweaked right

dynamic track surface, marbles, hand gestures, dirty helmet visors, dynamic track drying, good physics, great support, great community…………………………

    ………ONE man team……..

    need i say more?

if you doubters new what it takes to do this with ONE person……you wouldn’t be talking so much bullshit…….. your just muppets IMO.

This is outstanding work…… and it pushes the “big guys” to get even better.

  • Anonymous

No it doesn’t push anyone. People won¨t say “Oh look, it has 90% content done by 10% workforce”. They just say “oh look, it only has 90% content not all”.
As outstanding this work surely is, it won’t make me buy it until I’m confident its worth it.

  • Boss Player

Ok osella now STFU. Let indie projects do their things.

  • Boss Player

    dumbass.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

I think we got your point the first twenty times you made it man, let it go. We like the game, you dont, let’s all just be happy with what we like and move on.

  • Lemming77

Hats off to this guy, because this is actually quite nice. It’s great to drive, it looks nice, it sounds good. It’s pretty solid. Bravo, PiBoSo! :)

Also, it’s great to finally see some OpenGL love in the world of simracing! I’ve always felt it’s hideously neglected despite being perfectly capable.

  • Lemming77

You don’t even need to tweak it. Pacejka’s magic formula is used in a lot of tire models, and is held in high regard for how accurately it predicts the behaviour of pneumatic tires. By changing how you apply it, you could get better results without touching it.

For example, Pacejka’s magic formula doesn’t account for vertical movement in the tire side wall, but that’s been present in iRacing since before the NTM I believe. :)

  • Boss Player

Tested Yesterday and I can confirm WRS has a lot of potential.

    Positive notes:

    Good frame rate
Nice clean graphic, eventually better than rFactor 1.
    Sounds VERY good
Easy FFB configuration (compared to rFactor LeoFFB, Real Feel, control.ini etc)
    FFB is good, responsive
ZERO lag input , immediate reaction from the wheel
Cars feels connected to the road

    WIP notes:

FFB effects on Kerbs need to be increased.

Yes I admit it now, actually I was being too aggressive and didn’t mention it just my opinion.
Sometimes I have days when I’m a bit arrogant but most time no.
    I”m sorry :/

Looking good! Will follow this project for sure! I want to see RWD turbo car and try it, should be fun :)
