Jolo has released a new version of his World Championship GT Mod for rfactor, bringing us a selection of 1970s race cars that come with no traction control, ABS or any other modern helpers.
New in version 3.0 is the DeTomaso Pantera which comes in 35 different liveries as well as some bugfixes. World Championship GTO is based on Simbin’s GT Legend simulation, an original GTL disc/installation is required to use this mod.
Important: The download below is just an update, you need to have Version 1.0 installed.

I had wondered the same thing myself. It’s not the first time someone has released a mod that’s virtually identical to another, or at least has cars from it… Spirit of ‘76 is another one that mystifies me, I mean it’s a good mod, but it would’ve worked better if they’d simply submitted their models to HistorX for the next update.

If you want to have these cars try the mod from HistorX.
- UI is better ( 60’s/70’s style )
- Psychics are better with or without abs,tc,stm
- More Car Classes and cars
- Better looking showroom
- 6 channel FFB options
The install from Jolo are only a couple of GT/GTO Cars from GT Legends,
Other showroom and no car help.

My Mod is completely other than the Historix, and You hav’nt driven the 1975 GTO real.
For my Mod You need real Racing skill!
If a Mod is better as one other, while more diverent Cars included, shure, the Quality is not needed lool.
When a convused Showroom makes a Mod better, all Right.
If one People have to say, yes this is the better Mod, even tough there is any different, then the Man of the Month is MagicMan.
