This volvo game looks cool, big car selection for a free game unlike the one make/model games like the m3.

I’ve also driven that 850 Estate in some game – can anyone tell me where it might’ve been? Cus seeing this picture brings back memories, hehe.

Simbin have gotten good at releasing half-baked titles. This makes for an applaudable change.

Well that may be b/c this is already paid for with Volvo money. Besides, despite being an rFactor man myself, there really is no other company besides Simbin devoted to quality simulations of real race cars out there. Wouldn’t hold out hope for the new ‘sim’ NFS and certainly not whatever Codemasters has half-assed this time (these companies seemingly spend more on PR and marketing hype than they ever spend on development)

Interesting, would be nice if it’s true. But I’d have though they would’ve already used the post processing option if they were planning to.

Awesome, I knew for it to be a Volvo game that we’d see the estate around!
Looking at the video though, it seems to indicate the game is an add-on for STCC/RACE(?) Either that or Simbin didn’t bother shooting a video from the free game and just used some old footage from the STCC promotions catalog

Hope it works with STCC/Race07/GTRE

Would be awsome to drive the BTCC cars at some british and swedish tracks. And imagine a ride with the 240Turbo at Nordschleife! :D

I have to agree with ermax18. I’m really getting sick of the edited screenshots. SimBin needs to add some post processing filters rendered by the game. If you open your .PLR file with notepad, there is an entry for post processing somewhere. Enabling it has no effect though.

But maybe it works in the Volvo game, and maybe also in Race07 after you’ve bought Race On.

It’s funny when you jack your Mitsubishi up and the first thing you bang your head on has a big VOLVO sign on it (like Space Star’s engine subframe has). Or when you can’t find wheels for the winter for your Mitsu but there are some Volvo rims lying about and they are a perfect fit

Yes! The 850 estate is in!!! Too bad no Volvo Original Cup cars are in the game, but oh well.
And since when the S40 is a ‘classic’? My dad drives a Dutch-made Mitsubishi Space Star diesel minivan with S40 chassis and underpinnings and a Renault power train (the combination was also used in Mitsubishi Galant and the S40 itself), how does that make the S40 a classic? It was a good looking car, though.

Don’t you mean the Mitsubishi Carisma instead of Galant? The Carisma’s have also driven in DTCC (Dutch Touring Car Championship) in 1998 :). And the Carismas were also built in the Netherlands.

But on the other hand, you could call all the SuperTouring cars classics because during the ST-rules, it was the glory days of touringcar racing! FWD cars doing 0-100 km/h in about 4 sec, thats amazing!
