    Thank you very much :)

A nice little mod this one. An issue I have noticed though is in the replays when the cars get into the distance, they start to disappear. So I guess the lower LOD’s are kicking in way way too early (what do I know:) )

Thanks guys. We’ve found some issues with the collision, we just fixed them but now we’ll have to make shaders again and take the opportunity to try and find wihy the FPS drops. As for the (fake) LODS, yeah the distance might be too short. Thanks for the tip!

I love FWD hothatch mods like this. I especially liked the 80′s one that was knocking about sometime ago, simply because they were all cars me and my friends aspired to own when we were in school, shame the physics weren’t that wonderful, and it seemed half finished.

Thanks for the efforts put into the G40

Thanks for the words :) Well bear in mind these aren’t stock G40 physics, but trophy-spec so they’r a bit different. We managed to match the real car’s times in the Estoril track and on another private track so we’re pretty happy with them. Obviously, there’s always room for improvement.

easy to fix, if you play offline you can edit distance in your LOD’s. if you play online some missmatch happens.

Maybe you can tell me how to do that :)

  • Professional Operator

backup the original .gen file (copy and re name it)

then, with notepad open the .gen file you want to modify (remember modify the .gen in game not the spinner)

    search for stuff like this
    “LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(30.0)”

LODIn means at which distance a 3d file start to be seen.
LODOute means at which distance a 3d file stop to be seen.

Usually in the gen file every 3d file related to the car has LODIn LODOut values. Edit all the 3d file LODS and all the meshes may require some time but you can increase the distance of the parts. Hope it helps.
