VLN 2009 by Team NLC – Porsche GT3-Cup Previews

Following the first big batch of previews to weeks ago, Team NLC has released a second pack of previews of their upcoming VLN 2009 mod for rFactor.

The previews show the mod’s lineup of Porsche 997 GT3-Cup cars, one of the most popular car categories the VLN offers. The mod uses Team GSMF’s popular Porsche model that has been brought up to 2008 spec by Team NLC.

VLN 2009 will include many cars from the current season of the VLN endurance championship that races exclusively on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, attracting 150+ car grids. Last year’s season featured the usual GT & touring car mix, spiced up with many new GT3 cars like the Audi R8 GT3 LMS, the Alpina B6 and the Dodge Viper.

    ReelFeel isn’t needed IMHO.
    I’ve never used it and made most of the mods worked without it.
    VLN 2005 was great I hope this one will be too :)

    Looks great!

    All mods work without real feel, but they automatically get 80% better if they are made to work with real feel, so I am hoping for it too.

    physics based FFB is really important for me because it gives me the right feel for the car and I know NLC make really good physics for physics based FFB and anyway rF2 comes with pure physics based FFB :grin:

    RealFeel is a pain in the ass. I tried it for a while and found I spent more time tweaking and adjusting the damn settings than I did enjoying the mods, so when I reinstalled RF a couple of months back I’ve not even bothered with RealFeel. Too much hassle.

    Love the screenshots. Tried the older VLN mod and thought it was great.

    Wish there was a sim where we could do proper VLN races with 150+ cars.

    Yes realfeel makes everything feel much more real, you should stop this anti realfeel madness now firefox :angry:
