VLN 2009 by Team NLC – Audi R8 LMS Detail Previews

Team NLC has released new previews of their VLN 2009 mod for rFactor, showing us some detail insight on their Audi R8 LMS model.

The team originally planned to convert the Audi R8 model made by Team TRC for GTR2. In the end, the team decided to give the model a major overhaul, only keeping the roof and the doors from the original model. Aside from receiving a major modelling overhaul, the car will be getting brand new skins, physics and sounds made by Fonsecker.

Since the release of VLN 2005, Team NLC has been joined by various new members and the team is using the additional manpower to archive a significant leap forward in terms of quality. You don’t have to take their word for it though, just check out the detail previews of the Audi R8 below.

VLN 2009 will include many cars from the past season of the VLN endurance championship that races exclusively on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, attracting 150+ car grids. Last year’s season featured the usual GT & touring car mix, spiced up with many new GT3 cars like the Audi R8 GT3 LMS, the Alpina B6 and the Dodge Viper.

    I’m off rFactor but i wanna say that what you did with the vln mod for rFactor was great.
    Even if some models werent yours, you tried something, something that rF missed, multi class cars mod.

    Hopefully this created a synergy that will allow for you guys to regroup modelers (alien gsmf), and do great mods for rF2 for exemple.

    PS : Porsche Alzen SP8 had some the best physics i ever tried.
