VirtualR News for Your Website

In the past days, I´ve received several mails from website/league owners asking for permission to include my RSS feed on their website. I figured it would be a good idea to let everybody know that they´re absolutely free to do that.

So if you run a league or another sim racing related site, feel free to include my news feed on your site. That way, your visitors will always find the latest sim racing news with no hassle for you involved.

If you included my news, make sure to mail me so I can place a link to your site too :)

    Hi Montoya,

    Make sure you cache the RSS feed so it isn’t pulling from the DB as much, there should be a plugin for that. You use WordPress, right?

    I use it myself and even the small amount of reads mine gets was making a difference. It’s possible since 2.1 they have it caching anyway (wp is now 2.6), but if not I’d suggest a plugin…

    Great service you do, btw.

    Cheers,

    Tim.

    does anybody can help about this? what is the web code for insert the news at my site?

  • http://www.virtualr.net Montoya

    @ Tim

    Thanks for the advice, the feed is chached endeed :smile:

    @andres

    That depends on what blog/cms you are using for your site. Almost every system has a module/plugin to easily include RSS feeds.

    If your site is pure HTML, you`ll need a RSS parser such as MagpieRSS
