Vettel-signed Fanatec Wheel Charity Auction

Fanatec is auctioning a CSR Elite wheel with Formula rim signed by no other than two-time F1 world  champion Sebastian Vettel.

The Red Bull F1 driver signed the wheel during the Goodwood Festival of Speed as the photos below show. Aside from the autograph that makes the wheel unique, it’s also Fanatec’s first-ever CSR Elite prototype, making it a special item in any avid sim racer’s collection.

Of course, all proceeds from the auction are being used for a charitable cause as Fanatec is donating the money to Red Bull’s Wings for Life UK foundation.

The auction is open to bidders from all over Europe. With six days still to go, the highest bid is currently 560 Euros, which is still less than what the regular CSR Elite + additional Formula rim sells for at Fanatec.

So dig deep into your wallets to secure a one of its kind collectors item and do a good thing along the way!

    What and why???

is Vettel endorsing Fanatec? I’ll ask him in his tweeter because this looks like Fanatec is using his image for free.

Wings for Life is a charity organization which is part of Red Bull. Do you seriously question that we are not allowed to use a picture which was taken by Red Bull, at the Red Bull booth in Goodwill and with the purpose of selling the wheel Vettel signed for a Red Bull charity organisation?
I always enjoy your funny comments. You must have a serious lack of attention.

How about Fanatec respect their customers in Australia and New Zealand rather than hyping up the CS wheel only to ignore people that want to but the freaking thing?

Unbelievable. Where do you get this nonsense ?

A nice gesture,,it really is sad that people can’t recognize that. It’s one thing to have an opinion but It’s another to troll a charitable act.I knew all about Fanatec but I didn’t know anything about the Red Bull Wings For Life and that is what things like this are supposed to do.

Shame on anyone that won’t respect that.

Indeed. It is everyone’s right to have an opinion, but it isn’t everyone’s right to have that opinion respected.

I have been a supporter of WFL for years now. I’ve spent over $400 on WFL merchandise, has multiple iRacing liveries painted for awareness amongst the sim community and have even donated large parts of my commission to WFL. I appreciate the gesture but it’s a one off. All I want, much like many others from Australia is some kind of feedback from Fanatec. Brendon Avery and all his customers are kept in the dark. I’ve been trying to get some answers about Elite and CS wheels for months now and we are just ignored.

I can only imagine the frustration. :(
