Vanport International 1.1 - Released

Global Motorsport Technologies has released a new version of their Vanport International Raceway for rFactor, further improving what already was a high quality track.

Version 1.1 includes improved textures, a new track surface, added elevation and lots more. The track comes in two different layouts with and without chicane and both as dry and wet version.

Better known as the Portland Grand Prix, the track is a major United States road course, having hosted Indycar and CART races as well as an American Le Mans Series round.

Changelog:

  • Resurfaced Road - Slightly Smoother and higher density mesh.
  • Improved Textures - (Road, Grass, Trees)
  • Shaders and Textures optimized for Nvidia Graphics Cards
  • Added extra elevation between T5 and T6
  • Added missing grandstand outside T6
  • Lowered curb heights slightly
  • Overhauled Water Shader and Textures
  • Added SLN’s favourite animal
  • Updated wet weather lighting settings
  • Plus other minor tweaks

    Thanks for the updates to my home track! V1.0 was one of my favorites, especially with Porsche Cup cars.

    I can’t wait to give V1.1 a whirl once I get back to my college dorm and steering wheel!

    Don’t forget to download SLN’s real ad’s texture update for Vanport: http://sln.rscsites.org/
    Click “tracks” then “Vanport” for the realistic ads. It’s pretty sweet. Adds quite a bit of immersion.
