Simulationsfanatiker has made new renders of the work in progress V8 Star series mod for rFactor and GTR2. The renders show three different silhouettes from BMW, Jaguar and Lexus, the VW Passat silhouette is still in development.
The discontinued V8 Star series was a German Touring Car championship with equal Roush V8-powered silhouette cars that roughly resembled several road cars. The series went out of operation in 2003 but will not be forgotten by its die-hard fans.

About a year ago, Team NLC announced a sucessor to their popular VLN 2005 mod for rFactor, planning to bring the 2009 season of Germany's popular racing series to the simulation. As promised, Codemasters have just released the first of their developer diary videos, introducing us to some of their staff and showing off first-ever moving footage of F1 2010 for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Virtua_LM has released new previews of another stunning track creation for rFactor, showing us new shots of the Japanese Fuji Speedway in late 80s specification. Located near the famous Mount Fuji in Oyama, Japan, Fuji Speedway was opened in 1963. The track was a popular venue for sports car races as the track was part of the FIA World Sports Car Championship for Group C prototypes from 1982 to 1988. Even though the track was slowed down with two chicanes during the 80s, speeds on the track remained very high thanks to the 1.5 kilometer main straght - The longest in motorsports. [nggallery ...
