Turismo Carretera 2012 – Now Available

Remember 2PEZ Games? Back in 2007, the independent Argentinian developer used ISI’s gMotor 2 engine to create Turismo Carretera, a simulation on a popular local Argentinian touring car series.

After a longer while of silence, the studio has now released a 2012 version of their simulation, coming with a bunch of new features:

  • 2011 & 2012 season cars
  • New physics & sounds
  • Over 60 track variations
  • Car to pit communication
  • New activation system

The title sells for 38 Dollars on the 2Pez website. Unfortunately, the simulation is not very accessible to international sim racers as the whole website (and presumably the game) is only available in Spanish.

It’s a bit expensive for a limited game like this. At least GSD had some more varied cars and eventually turned into one of the best crafted sims.

However, I like this sim., I have driven the older version demo and I liked it. I never bought it because of the probable lack of online gameplay. At least here in the US.

Love the landscape that track is located in, and it sounds fantastic too!

South American’s seem very well catered for. With no BTCC game for well over a decade – I’m jealous.

WOW DIDNT EXPECT THE CARS TO SOUND THIS AMAZING!

Indeed, the sounds alone may make it worth the $40. I have already downloaded it but I am waiting to buy it until I can install my SSD and my new win 7, so I can do a clean install of all my sims at the same time.

I just bought it and it cost me $18, so I am not sure where the other numbers come from.

I doubt it, but the sim and interface is fundamentally rFactor so getting it setup is pretty familiar.

downloaded and bought this last night, only 9 pounds sterling plus VAT, worth it for that much! also comes with a single seater and a couple of touring cars (which are terrible!!) Also loads of tracks, looks like all the tracks from the original ACTC, plus 2pezs’ other games tracks (TC2000 and Toprace). Definite improvement on handling over the original.

  • Alan Fletcher

You can just copy your .plr and controller files over from rfactor and you are up and running!!

    Thanks… sounds worth it!
