TrackMaker for Maya – Released

Bjon Klaassen has released his TrackMaker tool for Maya, making creation of tracks much easier.

The tool aims to cut down the track creation time thanks to various tools. It allows to create tracks while maintaining all dynamic relationships, ensuring the user can still tweak the layout, individual lofts & props and export the track into the game. The tool has been designed to be easy to use, allowing it to be used by everyone with basic 3D knowledge.

You can check out the tool at work below, Bjorn also has released extensive documentation here.

The tool is currently available for Maya, Bjorn has tested it with the 64bit versions of Maya 2009 & 2013, 32bit and older versions should work as well.

The tool sells for 5,50€ (5€ plus a Paypal fee of 50 cents), interested users can get their copy by sending Bjorn a mail.

Not much 5,50 for the tool, compared to the $ 4000,- that Maya costs.

Yes but you need Maya, to run TrackMaker, thought this was going to be standalone, guess track makers will have to stick with BTB, who is going to spend £4000 just for this.

“who is going to spend $4000 just for this?” Erm.. Bjon Klaassen? lol

Seriously though, if a dedicated mod team thought it was worth it they could pool together or something I dunno. Also, can’t you get student discounts on these modelling softwares?

I guess the tool is just for those that have Maya already but are new to/want an easier way into modelling tracks?
