Jessica, Darin & Shaun of InsideSimRacing.tv were recently joined by Image Space Incorporated's Gjon Camaj who visited the guys for an interview in an upcoming SRT episode. ISI's head-honcho did not come empty-handed though as Camaj showed off rFactor 2's user interface for the very first time. Below are six screenshots of the interface, showing off what looks like a major improvement over rFactor's much criticised UI-system.Taking a closer look, the screenshots reveal some very interesting details as the task bar gives away the version number used by Camaj for the presentation - 0.783. Also, we´re starting to get an idea on the ...
About a year ago, Team NLC announced a sucessor to their popular VLN 2005 mod for rFactor, planning to bring the 2009 season of Germany's popular racing series to the simulation. For almost twelve months, the team has been quietly working in full force on their massive project and is now able to present us with a very big batch of renders to show off their progress. The renders show twelve different car models sporting various liveries. While some models like the Renault Clio or the Mini Cooper S have been converted, others have been equipped with new parts such as the ...

Virtua_LM has released new previews of another stunning track creation for rFactor, showing us new shots of the Japanese Fuji Speedway in late 80s specification. Located near the famous Mount Fuji in Oyama, Japan, Fuji Speedway was opened in 1963. The track was a popular venue for sports car races as the track was part of the FIA World Sports Car Championship for Group C prototypes from 1982 to 1988. Even though the track was slowed down with two chicanes during the 80s, speeds on the track remained very high thanks to the 1.5 kilometer main straght - The longest in motorsports. [nggallery ...

I’ve had this car for like a year now. It was released a long time ago with… shall I say… less than accurate physics
. So I fixed the physics and added my own custom supra sounds (which sound awesome if I say so myself), and I’ve been using it in my own personal road car mod ever since. I offered Merlin my help and my files back when this was originally released, but for some reason he tore me a new a$$hole on the forum and then removed the Supra from nogrip, claiming that people were being mean? I’ve no idea what was going on. I was just trying to help him and for some reason I think he took it wrong. But whatever, kudos on the re-release.
And there is already an amazingly modeled Supra coming to rFactor and it’s one of the most amazingly modeled cars I’ve ever seen. I don’t much care for all the crazy paint jobs, wings and F&F stuff. But to each their own.
I also wonder why noone ever releases a stock version of road cars to go along with their tuned/GT3 counterparts? Like this Supra and the Dodge Challenger R/T Cup. It’d be awesome to have a clean stock version to mess with.
