Thrustmaster Xbox 360 Wheel Sneak Peek

A few days ago, Thrustmaster released a mysterious teaser video, hinting at a new product.

Some watchful VirtualR readers instantly picked up on the garage number 360 in the video, reasoning that it has to be Xbox 360 related and it is!

Thrustmaster has just released a second video, giving us a sneak peek at the new wheel. The shown off wheel resembles the F458 Italia wheel that was released a year ago, unfortunately while adding Xbox 360 compatibility, this wheel came without Force Feedback, bumping it instantly off the wish list of most more serious racing gamers.

The video mentions “totally new sensations” which could be a hint of FFB having been added to the new version. We also get to see a medal-plate pedal set while the F48 Italia wheel had all-plastic pedals.

Thrustmaster will reveal the product in full on August 15th, hopefully this wheel will be a full-scale replacement to the F430 FFB wheel that did offer great quality and value, selling for way under 100 Euros.

I knew it. Somebody said this wouldnt happen because the T500R is the official GT5 wheel. Well they were wrong.

Although looking at it close enough it looks like a cheap wheel. Those pedals look like they are the usual cheap rubbish they have with their cheap wheels.

That really doesnt look well manufactured or made with quality materials.
I was hoping for a somewhen somehow way to use my t500 on the xbox 360, but i thought tm will go that way. Make a spectacular announcement for something just not worth it after the release of the fantastic t500 and addon wheel.
And just incase there is No ffb it will be a huuuuge joke at the end.
    Damn i need a ps3 beside my pc now….

If there wouldnt be that damn ps3 button on the t500 base they could offer a xbox 360 branded wheel to addon and make it compatible with the 360..
    But welll…rights here and there.

I wish the news were they working on a quick-release system and multiple steering wheels for the T500.

lol you are right! 270° steering radius. lol

Until Thrustmaster decides to sell their wheels, and pedals separately, I will not be a customer, especially with their history of pedals (t500 being the exception, but still I have CSP so why waste $?)

Probably wrong as the pedals do not correllate.

Either Ferrari F12 or FF wheel. Identical wheel design with the 458 almost.
Or it´s the 458 wheel but a “hardcore version”

Of course it’s that wheel, Montoya even says in his news that it’s a 458 for the XBOX 360. And there’s only one wheel for the XBOX 360 at Thrustmaster, because prior to that, the only correct wheels available on that platform were the Fanatecs.

Still no comparison between a CSR and this, though, but it works (I’ve had the PC version) and it’s much cheaper than the Fanatecs for those on a budget.

Now that’s Funny… Your m8s told you that huh!

    Learn to read maybe?
“wheel resembles the F458 Italia ”
He didn’t say it “IS” a 458 wheel for the xbox.
He also says that the pedals are metal and not plastic like the old ones, also that there could possibly be force feedback.
