Wait Wait did you say iRacing is the “Pinnacle of Sim Racing” !! That has to be a typo!

Where else would you go for the best of the best online competition? I think F1 and really all open wheel racing is incredibly boring, but I wouldn’t argue against it being the pinnacle of road racing.

Hence proving my point, you said online yourself. So iRacing IS indeed the pinnacle of online sim racing. Anyone who would discuss that has been living under a rock for the past 5 years. But we’re really playing with words because we’re bored, aren’t we ? ;)

Hihihihihi made me laugh too… If he’d said “Pinnacle of online sim racing”, I might have agreed more ;)

      Anyways, good show !

For the sake of conversation, what would be the other candidate for premier sim? I would give iRacing props for consistently high quality content and large userbase, not sure which other sim would have an overall package to beat that.

Of course, it is for the sake of conversation. No provocation intended on my part.

Well, I agree with the reasons you gave, hence my comment. iRacing is unbeatable as an online sim, no doubt in my mind about that. And I enjoyed iRacing a lot but only really did hotlapping with it, I’m not interested at all in multiplayer because of the competition it implies (I am philosophically against competition, which is a problem of mine with most sports… racing included… I’m crazy, I know ;).
So if not racing online, there are a few sims I enjoy more than iRacing, like GTR Evo, or nKP.
Now are those the pinnacle of sim racing in my eyes ? Nope :D
That’s the problem I have with my own statement : for me the pinnacle of sim racing isn’t officially released yet, as I’m thinking rFactor2 + WSGT2 and CARS, or GTR3 and Assetto Corsa.

Now if I wanted to argument further, I’d say : there is no absolute pinnacle in sim racing. Depends on what YOU like. I think that’s what made me tick at Darin’s sentence : he used a subjective truth in an absolute context. Syntax Error…

    Thanks guys, for the show!

this is only my opinion but i think its a shame that a show with so much potencial to cover all aspects of simracing just got stuck to 1 single representative of the genre … They “speak” of others but ever so slightly, SRT was the BEST show online for simracing, thats before iRacing started to back them up, now the shows, mostly, can be sumarized as one part everything else, an iracing commercial, and the second part that is composed of an iracing report … Far from me to criticize anyones work but we, the viewers can see the diference between the first 100ish shows and the ones after that, the shows is still good, Hello Jessica ^^, but just not as good as it was or could be …. imho.

There was a period of time, a bit after Darin started working for Fanatec, when there was some let go indeed, with a peak right after Darin stopped working for the german company, but indeed now it seems the boys are back :D
