Good point Alex. I think it’s not possible to compare the modding communitys of those games. I think both have there goldies, like The Monaco-Rockz updates in GPL or the Nordschleife-Updates in rFactor (sure based on an GPL track )

That’s not a particularly fair comment. To create tracks to the highest standard in rFactor requires much more knowledge than that for GPL and they are much more complex, requiring knowing how to use much more complicated software.

Yes it’s true but there are valid reasons why generally we just see smaller circuits.

Its content like this that makes GPL such a great sim. rFactor modders would never dream of making the Targa from scratch. Lets just be thankful that GPL modders allow it to be converted to other platforms, just one of which is rFactor. Nevertheless my thanks also go to the team converting this for rF and Simbin platforms. Its looking good.

If you haven´t yet, make sure to try the track in GPL.

IMO it´s the most addictive Track to drive ever!

This looks very promising and i hope they take their time and get it as high qual as possible. Should be insane fun with HistorX, but man it’s too bad they’re not (also) doing this for GTR2 to get to drive it in the PnG stuff.

With the outstanding accuracy of iRacing for modern tracks, it would really be good if modders picked up the ball and did more work on period specific stuff as this track represents, and the HistorX and PnG mods, along with stuff like GP79, etc.

You can bet that! It's an amazing experience to drive there, even in the smaller cars, no doubt. And so much work is being done by these guys that i wouldn't consider it just a 'straight conversion' of the GPL Targa. It's going to look & feel even better, that's for sure! Regards
