Take A Peek At Automobilista’s New Open Wheeler

Reiza Studios’ Niels Heusinkveld has shared some spy footage of an upcoming addition to Automobilista – A modern open wheeler.

The yet to be named car is Reiza’s take on a modern high end Formula car, featuring hybrid systems and power in excess of 1000bhp.

In the video below, you can see the car lapping on the Hockenheim track that will be released as DLC for Automobilista in just a few days time.

Update to Dx11 and the fight with Rf2 is on! This sim has soo much that Rf2 doesn’t.

      Like what ? Just curious.

Same here I would like to know as well, it doesn’t have more features than rFactor2, it doesn’t have the latest tyre model like rfactor 2, it doesn’t have better AI, it doesn’t have better sounds than rfactor 2, it doesn’t have better or the latest graphics than rfactor 2, it’s online multiplayer server is the least populated than any racing sim that exist today, Yes even simbins race 07 series has more people playing, and it sure doesn’t have the user base playing it at any given time than any of the popular racing sims, the only thing it currently as over rfactor 2 is content, that’s it nothing more nothing less.

At the very least I’d say the sound in AMS is on par, if not, better than rF2. Also, probably has more official content. physics and FFB are just as good too. Tyre model in rF2 is very good, though I do find AMS just as responsive.

For me both are great games that continue to make further strides, but I’d have to disagree with your assumption that rF2 beats it ‘hands down.’

Maybe rF2 just pips it, but it certianly doesn’t beat AMS hands down.

AMS has just far more great content and sounds are much better as well.

      • Richard Hessels

But it has a bunch of great tracks and very well crafted solid feeling cars you can have fun with for many days/hours.

“But it has a bunch of great tracks and very well crafted solid feeling cars”

I’m living in 2017, and everyone has their own idea and expectation of what is well crafted quality content, good for you if that is the case.
For me Sector3 studios content is the minimum I expect in quality made content, those rFactor Central type quality went ages ago, each to there own.

Just remember Reiza’s Automobilista is essentially completed…whereas Studio 397 have just started development on rF2…give Studio 397 18 or so months then compare as it has been approx this long for Reiza to produce the magnificent Automobilista….only my opinion

  • ImageArtSigns .

    Could rF2 be Reiza’s next Sim platform I wonder…nudge, nudge, wink,wink…LOL

Awesome! I can see your facial expressions… lol

  • Traumahound

Are these the standard cams for AM? I keep thinking I’m watching a telecast.

The car itself has a pretty weird howl.. I honestly haven’t seen much coverage of F1 over the last two seasons, but I assume this is just how.. strange they sound now..?

    • Niels Heusinkveld

I was so annoyed that you need an account / login to use Geforce Experience / Shadowplay that I took out my camera and filmed the monitor while shaking the camera about. All this while overexposing the image. 🙂

Might I recommend OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). I use it a lot for my other YouTube account and regularly livestream with it too.
It makes Shadowplay look seriously amateur.

      • Niels Heusinkveld

Good point, I use that actually to stream, but I know you can record too.. And you can use the Nvidia encoder which takes no cpu at all (at some cost of quality) .. Good point!

Is it just me or has the world gone crazy requiring an account for EVERYTHING these days!

      • Leynad

Can be even worse. I tried to download Forza Apex for nostalgic reasons and after log into the Windows-Store with my ancient XBox Live account i luckily had already, it changed my usual PC-Login to it and my admin-password wasn´t working anymore. Seems I didn´t uncheck a harmless sounding option and glad i didn´t save the password just on the PC. But still not possible to download Forza without having all Windows-Updates installed plus Windows Auto-Updates enabled. At least my former Windows 8 cracked version seems to be officially licensed since upgrading to 10:)

No the world has gone crazy. Making you registed BEFORE you download software to try it out. If you then don’t like or want the software… well they have your details now. Prepare to be marketed.
I hate it and as soon as software wants my details before I decide to buy their software, I either boycott their software and find an alternative or use a fake email. If I can’t then I’ll consider setting up a disaposable email account for BS like this.

” I use it a lot for my other YouTube account and regularly livestream with it too.”

What is the youtube url link for your channel?

      • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

        It’s something unrelated to sim-racing.

      • Penteano

Do you have MSI afterburner installed? Best video recording software I found out there. Great quality and very little fps loss

  • HammerX

Every sim is different and has something to bring to the table others might not touch on. I’m not trying to start a debate of which sim is better, that’s been done for ages and far too long that it’s boring to read, I have them all and find things cool in one than the other. As an example in AM you can flat spot the tires and that comes through ffb. In Rf2 they simulate something things others don’t. RRE has their own grove too. It’s good to have variety, I welcome it. Should I change the term “fight” with “competition to develop?”

  • Paul Menard

hope you expand the notf1 to something front engined, or pre ww2, as they are vastly under represented in games 🙁

  • Patrik Marek

filming the video off-screen almost makes it look better then the base game.

like the sound though , some nice effects in there

  • Silvio

It took some seconds to realize it was a game…

  • HammerX

Is it out and whats it called? 🙂

  • ImageArtSigns .

WOW…I just found while playing around in the ‘Showroom’ that you can activate ‘ARMS’ on steering wheel in Automobilista…when did this come in, I must have been a sleep…LOL

    • HammerX

For me, I want no arms or steering wheel, I have my own. 🙂

      • ImageArtSigns .

Yes, that’s great…everyone has their own groove…and after all ‘Sim Racing is an individual Pursuit’

      • HammerX

Just joking man hence the smiley.

      • ImageArtSigns .

        All’s cool mate…:-)

  • Fastbikkel

Looks pretty impressive to me. And the sound i also like!
