Take A Closer Look At Porsche in GT Sport

A new video shows the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in action on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Two weeks ago, Polyphony Digital announced a partnership with Porsche AG as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS was revealed to be coming to the Playstation 4 racer.

While more details on other included models remained sparse, new feature of the GT3 RS in GT Sport has surfaced on Youtube now, showing the sports car in action on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, giving us the chance to closely check out the first rendition of Porsche in Gran Turismo’s history.

Gran Turismo Sport will feature 130+ cars, all of which have been built from the ground up as the studio is ditching their controversial standard-car practice of past GT titles.

Furthermore, GT Sport will also 19 different tracks, among them Nürburgring Nordschleife, Brands Hatch, Willow Springs and the new Tokyo Expressway have been confirmed.

Aside from supporting 4K resolution and HDR, GT Sport will also offer limited Playstation VR compatibility thanks to a “VR tour” mode.

The title will be exclusively available for the Playstation 4, Gran Turismo Sport will be released some time in 2017 after the original release date of late 2016 has been called off.

The replays look incredible… but I have no interest in wanting to play this, If you cant see why, no worries… if you want to question why, save your breath.

Why? 😀 For me it would be too much of an investment getting a PS4 and then a T300 (I have a TX wheel). Also having played GT5 and 6 a fair bit I expect GT Sport to be half-finished, they’ll update it a lot but I’ll put money on it lacking basic features until the next game (GT7 or whatever they go with).

Do you Simrace on PC? This game offers nothing if your on PC, certainly not worth buying a console and a wheel for! The safety car, the pretty replays/ photos and the Goodwood Hillclimb are the only draws for me… and its not enough really. The GT series may have the academy and the slogan “real driving simulator” (or whatever it is)…. but its not that real and sounds bad, I don’t see how anyone can defend the sounds. Unless the sounds just don’t matter to them that much so it don’t stand out to them???

I do indeed, but still enjoy some console titles (Forza etc.). I notice sounds when they’re really bad (Gran Turismo) or really good (Raceroom), but normally they’re just in the background for me.

Yeah a massive part of the GT experience for me from the very beginning was the replays, especially from GT3 onwards. Don’t know how PD do it but the replays are excellent. But my last GT was “5” which personally was a huge disappointment and I never bothered with 6 and not even bothering to get a PS4 for GTS. And I basically bought a PS2 and PS3 just for the GTs. Nothing about GTS puts it above what I have on my PC with R3E, RF2, AMS, DR, PCars and Asseto.

Same. Just not worth it. The only draw for me and reason I got a PS3 for GT6 was for the Goodwood Hillclimb (maybe iam marking out a little too much for one track there but) I wish somebody would make a mod of that for one of the sims you mention. rF2 would be great!!

Is it just me or is the scale a bit off? I mean, that silver porsche looks either very big or the track is just very narrow.
Apart from that i am very impressed with what i see and hear.
