The SiMCO Modding Team has released version 1.0 of their GP2 2008 Series mod for rFactor.The new version is massivly improved compared to the 0.9 version including better graphics, new sounds and physics.

This is the league edition of the mod, it contain’s the following teams of the 2008 GP2 series season:

Campos Grand Prix
Dams
iSport International
Piquet Sports
Racing Engineering
Super Nova International
Trident Racing
Trust Team Arden
DPR
Durango
Fisichella International

Later this year, the team will release a ultra realistic Pro Edition of the mod, aimed at serious racers and GP2 drivers.

Back in August, emerico and the SiMCO Modding Team have released the 0.9 version of their GP2 Series 2008 mod for rFactor.

In the meantime, the team has been busy working on the 1.0 version which will bring many improvements in terms of graphics, sound and GP2 driver-tested physics. Now, the team has decided to split it up once more time as a League Edition of version 1.0 will be released probably within the next week.

Later this year, the team will be releasing a Pro Edition for GP2 drivers and teams, aimed at serious racers. Below are the newest showroom previews to keep you posted until the release.

Emerico and the SiMCO Modding Team are very close to release the 1.0 version of their GP2 2008 Series mod for rFactor.

Following the initial 0.9 release, the new version will feature an improved tire model, brand new GP2 driver approved physics, new sounds and much more. To keep you posted until the release, the team has released the mods intro video below.

Like promised, emerico and the Seniem Modding Team have released the 2008 GP2 Series for rFactor. The GP2 series features some of the most promising open-wheel talents, racing each other in equal, Renault-powered, cars. Version 0.9 includes all but three teams of the 2008 GP2 series season.

Furthermore, the mod includes alternative aero packages for Monaco and Monza, static arms and alternative tires. This version comes with base physics, version 1.0 will be coming with GP2 driver tested physics as well as the missing three teams and much more.

Good news for all GP2 Series fans as emerico has announced to release the 0.9 version of his GP2 2008 rFactor mod later today.

Remember this posting? Back in February, volo108 was looking for permission to release his GP2 2005 mod conversion to GTR2.

Six months later, Nunux and Wardog have finally given him green light to release the mod. The GP2 2005 Series mod brings all cars and drivers of the 2005 GP2 season to GTR2, giving us a full field of equal Renault-powered cars to race against.

Those of you waiting for the planned demo of Emerico’s GP2 2008 Series mod for rFactor can stop as Emerico has changed his plans a little.

After getting a lot of feedback from real GP2 series drivers, Emerico has decided to release a 0.9 version of the mod quite soon that will contain all cars and drivers and the physics created before the driver test. Version 0.9 is planned to be released this month.

Version 1.0 will include reworked physics based on the real-life data, higher quality skins and realistic helmets and is planned to be released in September. Below are the newest preview shots, giving us a close-up view of the steeering wheel.

Emerico has posted three new previews of his GP2 2008 series mod for rFactor.

While we´re enjoying the screenshots, real GP2 drivers are busy testing the mod, giving Emerico new input to make the mod perfect. A three-car demo is scheduled to be out by the start of next week.

Emerico has updated the car model of his GP2 2008 Series mod for rFactor, the changes can be seen below. Furthermore, he managed to have his mod tested by real-life GP2 drivers and engineers, hopefully the first-hand feedback will improve this great looking mod even more.

We´ll all be able to find out ourselves soon as a demo version of the mod is due to be released soon. The demo will include three teams and is scheduled to be out this weekend.
