Erale, creator of the DTM 2007 mod for rFactor, is working on the 2008 season of Germany’s premier touring car series. After showing us impressive in-game previews of the Audi A4 DTM, he’s been working on the Mercedes C-Class model.
Below are the first renders, showing the very detailed V8-powered touring car. Please note that this project is not affiliated with the LMT DTM mod posted earlier today.

The team is working on a 2008 DTM mod for rFactor, below are the first renders of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Modelled by Daniel Reb, the scratch-made model has been finished and is off to get mapped and painted next.

Following the success of the DTM 2007 mod for rFactor, erale is now working on the 2008 class of the German Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. First previews of the Audi A4 have been floating around for quite a while, the first official preview material can now be found below.
The 2008 DTM season featured Audi and Mercedes, competing against each other in V8-powered Silhouette race cars. The DTM races on many historical track such as Hockenheim, the Nürburgring, Le Mans and the Norisring in Nuremberg. The series includes many notable drivers such as Mattias Ekström, Tom Kristensen or Ralf Schumacher
Below is the first preview video, showing the 2008 Audi A4 around the Nürburgring. While the Audi is already proving itself in rFactor, the Mercedes C-Class is getting ready to do so as you can see on the render below. Also included are preview shots of Martin Tomczyk’s new Red Bull livery for the season finale in Hockenheim last weekend.
Kartracer is working on the Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM Evo II for GTR2, a legendary car that rose to fame in the German DTM series during the early 90ies.
The car is still in the process of being modeled but looks very promising already.
Matthi and friends are working on a DTM 2000 mod for rFactor. The mod will include the three Mercedes-Benz CLK, Audi TT and Opel Astra cars that competed during the season, below are the first renders showing the Opel and Audi.
After the demise of the ITC series at the end of the 1996 season, it took four years until the DTM was relaunched in 2000, re-establishing Germany’s premier touring car series.
The Red Passion Racing Team has formed to create the 1993 Alfa 155 for rFactor. The Italian car raced in the German DTM series against notable competition from Mercedes, BMW and Opel.
Below is the first work-in-progress shot, the V6-powered Alfa carried Nicola Larini to the 1993 DTM championship.
Remus has pointed me to new preview shots of Virtual Racers’ Audi A4 DTM model. The brand new car will be part of an upcoming DTM 2008 mod for rFactor.
Audi’s new A4 DTM race car seems to have made a big impression on several modders. I already showcased the A4 model made by the mystery modder and that is not the only one in production.
The guys over at Virtual Racer are also working on the car, the first progress can be seen below. It looks like that the new A4 is not just an immediate on-track- but also a modding success.
The anonymous creator of the 2008 Audi A4 DTM model has sent me another work-in-progress shot, revealing that the model is intended to be used in rFactor.

Some minutes ago I found the following work-in-progress shots in my inbox. They show the 2008 Audi A4 DTM car which clinched its maiden victory in the hands of Mattias Ekström last weekend at Hockenheim.
Sadly the person who sent it left no details at all, not even a name. Does this mean a DTM 2008 mod is in the works? And for what sim is the car being made?
