Originally started as FedEx CART 1998 Championship mod for rFactor, Racing Line Developments has renamed their project to CART Factor.
The mod will now include not just cars from 1998 but also from the 1997 and 1999 CART seasons, bringing some of the most exciting years in American open-wheel racing to rFactor. Below are a bunch of new, very impressive, previews for you to enjoy.

After bringing us the fabulous Champ Car 2005-2006 mod, iDT has released another exciting season of CART racing for rFactor today - The 1995 CART mod.
The mod does not just includes all cars and drivers of the 1995 CART season, it includes many cars from the 1994 season too. All in all, the mod offers 55 drivers and over 180 skin variants.
CART 1995 brings back the time when American open-Wheel racing was on par with Formula One, offering exciting races and packed grids. The cars were powered by turbocharged engines, exceeding 800hp and speeds of over 240 miles per hour. The CART series raced on all kinds of tracks, from ovals to road courses and street circuits, making it one of the most challenging series ever.
As a bonus, iDT has released the 1995 version of the Cleveland Grand Prix, a popular CART airfield track.
Attention: To use the 1995 Cleveland version please put the files in the existing Cleveland location folder. If you don’t have one, please create one.

Racing Line Developments has released two more preview shots, showing the newest addition to the FedEX CART Championship 1998 mod for rFactor.
This time, we get a nice side shot of the Mercedes-powered car as well as a group shot together with the Swift.

After quite a while with no news, we now get to see the very distinctive Mercedes-powered Penske PC98 at Mid-Ohio. The car is still in development but it s already looking like a stunning addition to the 1998 season field.
Racing Line Developments is busy working towards the release of their planned demo of the upcoming CART 98 mod for rFactor. Today, we get to hear a little of the mod’s sounds as jgoedhart has posted the following sound preview:

Racingline Developments has released four new renders of their upcoming CART 1998 mod for rFactor. The renders show the Penske PC27 and Lola B98/00 race cars that both competed in the 1998 CART Championship season.
Racing Line Developments is currently working on their 1998 CART Championship for rFactor. And even though that mod is still in development, the team sheds some light on the future by releasing the screenshot below.
It shows Robby Gordon’s car from the 1999 CART season, indicating that not one but two seasons of CART racing are currently in the works.
