Below is a new preview video of System 3 and Eutechnyx’s Supercar Challenge for the Playstation 3, successor to Ferrari Challenge. The video shows a full lap around Spa Francorchamps in the Aston Martin DBR9, featuring pretty impressive graphics and sounds.
Supercar Challenge will include over 40 cars that can be raced on over 20 tracks, the car selection is mainly made up of road-going sports cars but also includes race cars like the Corvette C6.R and the Aston Martin DBR9.

Seems to look more or less like Gran Tourismo level physics. He took Eau Rouge pretty fast, but he did lift. Dunno. The rest looked pretty good.
Nice graphics and sound for sure. Might be a winner.

the engine sounds so stupid when upshifting, ruins the sound.

Looks quite good, though the sound is too clean and nowhere near aggressive enough. The V12 in a DBR9 screams.

The sun glare is nice without being too over the top.

This looks really good. I do not think it will be as punishing as GTRE or GTR2 but it looks like its has respectable physics.

ill pick this one up, hopefully has full steering wheel support.
What sucks tho is i bet its gonna get bad reviews for no blurr effects, no background music or drift mods.. and i bet they will only sell a handful compared to all the millions of people who are planning to buy the next installment of need for speed lmao

If its anything like the last Lemon ‘Ferrari Challange’ I’l give it a miss, that had laods written about relistic physics ect Bruno Senna’s comments of how real it felt ect, looks good and has some of the best rain effects I have seen, but is utter tripe ! in my opinion, and REALLY DISSAPOINTED me,after waiting for its release after being put back ect, could’nt beleve how poor the game is,not just in gameplay, but trying to play on line any more than a couple of people in a game it drops connection,at the time was quite a bit writen about the on line issues in verious forums, but I stopped playing or trying to play it after only about 3 days, and its not gone back in machine since,so if its billed as a follow up dont hold your breath guys

Like FC, this game in its current build (still in beta) has problem if you happen to drive with a steering wheel especially with the G25: the annoying deadzone. Of course, setting the FFB to High helps a bit but now the DBR9 feels like a Mack truck. Again like FC, SCC seems to be optimized for the PS3 controller which means you’re faster with it than you would with a wheel. Like FC, this game should be considered the last resort after you’ve exhausted all other driving games on your PS3 but with all the recent announcement, things are not looking too promising for SCC although I do hope they figure out the steering wheel.
